Lily Allen celebrates her West End Girl gigs in LA by partying with her pals at Madonna’s surprise Confessions II show before stopping by the fast food restaurant where she held her wedding reception with ex David Harbour

Lily Allen celebrated finishing two sold-out shows at the Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles by relaxing and having fun with her friends over the weekend.

The 40-year-old singer is almost finished with the first part of her West End Girl tour. The tour features songs from her hugely successful new album, which was written after her difficult breakup with husband David Harbour.

Following the success of her Los Angeles concerts, Lily celebrated with friends, including Daniel Nguyen and Chloe Angelides, a songwriter who contributed to her album.

The group seemed cheerful while taking photos with reality TV star Lisa Rinna, who briefly appeared on stage as the well-known character ‘Madeleine’.

On Saturday, Lily also visited The Abbey, a popular LGBTQ bar and nightclub in West Hollywood, to see Madonna’s unexpected Confession II performance.

She looked like she was having a blast at the event, and was seen with celebrities like Addison Rae, Julia Fox, Britney Spears’ former husband Sam Asghari, and Tori Spelling.

The pop star kept the good times rolling the next night, and her friend Daniel captured photos of their late-night dinner at In-N-Out.

Lily and her ex-husband, David, age 51, famously held their wedding reception at a fast food restaurant following their 2020 Las Vegas wedding.

They got married by an Elvis impersonator and then celebrated with dinner at In-N-Out Burger, joined by her daughters, Ethel and Marnie.

David posted pictures of their casual wedding, showing them enjoying burgers. He captioned the photos with a humorous take on the event: the ‘people’s princess’ married her kind partner – a ‘low-born’ man with a credit card – in a ceremony overseen by someone playfully referred to as ‘the king.’ The wedding took place under a gloomy sky, with wildfires raging in the distance during the pandemic.

‘Refreshments were served at a small reception following.’

Lily and David broke up in December 2024, reportedly because she found out he was unfaithful. She then wrote about the difficult end of their relationship in her song, West End Girl.

The song’s lyrics imply the couple had an understanding allowing each of them to have sexual encounters outside the relationship, as long as they were kept secret, involved paid partners, and lacked emotional attachment – rules the actor from Stranger Things seemingly ignored.

In her popular song, “Madeline,” she seems to be openly discussing David’s affair, referring to the other woman with a made-up name.

She’s singing about a complicated situation, questioning how long an affair has been happening and whether it’s just physical or involves real feelings. He promised to keep it secret, confined to private encounters, and never public.

I have no reason to believe a word he says. I strongly suspect he cheated on me while we were at home.

The song’s chorus goes: ‘We had a deal – keep it quiet and subtle. There was supposed to be money involved, exchanged with people we didn’t know. But you’re different, Madeline.’

The song includes sections where Madeline, through text messages, tells Lily that their relationship is purely physical and lacks any emotional depth.

We only communicate when we’re together, and he always speaks about you with great respect.

Madeline later said she was really sorry he was hurting and didn’t want to add to his pain. She explained he’d told her he’d already discussed everything with him and had his permission.

If you think he’s not being truthful, please tell me. I don’t like dishonesty, and I don’t want to be involved in any lies.

The Daily Mail has revealed the identity of ‘Madeline’ as Natalie Tippett, a costume designer. She reportedly met David, who is 16 years older than her, while working on the Netflix film We Have A Ghost in New Orleans in 2021.

The affair allegedly started soon after filming began, just one year after David and Lily got married in Las Vegas.

After filming wrapped up, the actor allegedly had Natalie flown to his home in Atlanta, and their affair continued while he was still with Lily.

The singer famously found out her husband was cheating when she came across his profile on the exclusive Raya dating app and realized what was happening.

She created her own account on the dating app, posing as a woman seeking other women, and claims she discovered her soon-to-be ex-husband had already created a profile.

In an October interview with The Times, Lily hinted that David didn’t respect the boundaries they’d set in their relationship, and discussed how dating apps have made it simpler to be unfaithful.

Healthy relationships generally have clear boundaries. However, it feels like people aren’t respecting those boundaries as much lately, creating a lot of uncertainty.

Dating apps can make it feel like people are easily replaced, creating the impression that if you’re not satisfied, you always have plenty of other options available with just a swipe on your phone.

About ten months before “West End Girl” came out, it became known that the breakup had led Lily to start seeing a therapist.

Oh my god, I was absolutely devastated to read that things got so much worse for her right after her vacation! Apparently, when she came back to New York and her husband, that’s when her mental health really started to decline. It just breaks my heart to think about her going through that, especially after she was trying to relax and recharge. It’s so unfair!

Lily, the mother of Ethel, 14, and Marnie, 13, reportedly became upset while at her Brooklyn home thinking about her ex-husband, Sam Cooper, being with someone else in the city.

As a lifestyle expert, I’ve seen this happen too often. It’s incredibly difficult when going home means facing someone who used to be your rock, but now causes you pain. For Lily, that’s exactly what’s happening with David. He went from being her safe space, someone she relied on, to someone who unfortunately now brings up difficult emotions and memories. It’s a really tough situation, and she’s understandably finding it very painful to be around him.

After getting her children settled back home and taking them to school at the start of the new term, Lily immediately went to rehab. She arrived a day ahead of schedule because she was feeling unstable and needed to get away.

She attended a several-week retreat in the US, where she participated in both group and individual therapy. During these sessions, she was encouraged to explore and express her feelings.
