“Leon Must Die Forever” in New ‘Resident Evil Requiem’ DLC

Summary

  • Capcom expands Resident Evil Requiem with free DLC “Leon Must Die Forever”
  • Players can navigate 20 randomized stages with permanent death and a new “Enhancer” ability system
  • Available now across all platforms

Capcom has added new content to the Resident Evil Requiem game with a surprise downloadable expansion called “Leon Must Die Forever.” This new content features a challenging survival mode where players take on the role of the popular character Leon.

Wow, the developers just dropped a completely free update – version 1.300.000 – and it totally came out of nowhere! The producer, Masato Kumazawa, had kind of hinted we should finish the main story, so this was a surprise. It’s a new mini-DLC that’s basically a super tough, roguelike challenge. You have to fight your way through 20 stages that get harder and harder, and it all leads to a final boss fight against someone called Victor. The trailer showed Leon facing tons of enemies with very little help, and honestly, it looks like the ultimate test for anyone who’s been playing for a long time. It’s seriously intense!

This new, challenging game mode includes unique features, the biggest being the Enhancer system. By defeating enemies, players can fill a meter to unlock powerful abilities, creating a quicker, more strategic combat experience different from the usual mix of action and horror in the main game.

The “Leon Must Die Forever” DLC is now available to play on all platforms for those who already own Resident Evil Requiem.

A new title update for Resident Evil Requiem is out now for all systems, adding:

We’ve added a new game mode called ‘Leon Must Die Forever’ and fixed a bug that was sometimes making the game unplayable.
