Kyle Sandilands’ wife Tegan Kynaston looks tense as she leaves their Vaucluse mansion after the shock jock’s bombshell termination

Tegan Kynaston, who is married to radio personality Kyle Sandilands, looked upset when she left their home in Vaucluse on Wednesday.

The 40-year-old mother of one appeared stressed as she drove away from her home shortly after news broke that Sandilands had been unexpectedly let go by the Australian Radio Network (ARN).

While reporters remained gathered outside their house, Kynaston tried to drive away unnoticed in her black Mercedes-AMG SUV, which cost $250,000 and was a 2025 model.

Kynaston appeared visibly stressed as she left, likely due to the recent family issues, and photographers remained nearby to capture the moment.

Kynaston seemed to be concealing her feelings, and she covered her eyes with oversized, black, cat-eye sunglasses.

Kynaston drove with a calm, unreadable face, seemingly wanting to avoid the chaos and attention from the press.

Before he was first taken off the air at KIIS FM, Sandilands shared what his wife thought about the situation.

My wife definitely let me have it, but in the best way possible! She’s incredibly supportive, but she doesn’t pull any punches – she tells me exactly what she thinks, and I really appreciate that, even when it stings a little. It’s a tough love kind of thing, and honestly, I need it.

She pointed out that I sometimes say things at home that aren’t well-received, and she’s right – we all slip up sometimes.

Last month, during a radio segment, Sandilands said he regretted how he dealt with Henderson.

I clearly bothered her. Looking back, I probably shouldn’t have said that while we were live on the radio. But we often say things impulsively here.

I didn’t intend to upset her, but clearly I did, and I’m sorry for that. Nobody wants to cause pain, especially to someone they care about.

As a lifestyle expert, I’ve been following the news about Amy Henderson and her departure from ARN. It seems things became untenable after some tough on-air moments with Kyle Sandilands. She reportedly let executives know she couldn’t continue working with him following those comments, which visibly upset her, ultimately leading to the termination of her $100 million contract. It’s a reminder that a positive work environment is crucial, even for those at the top!

They informed Sandilands in writing that his actions on the February 20th show were a serious violation of his contract with Quasar Media, as defined by ARN’s service agreement.

Sandilands was given a 14-day suspension during which he was required to ‘remedy the breach.’

That deadline passed on Tuesday night and ARN revealed Sandilands’ fate on Wednesday morning.

In a surprising announcement to the Daily Mail on Wednesday, the 54-year-old stated he is unwilling to accept the end of his position at the network.

He also confirmed the matter will now be in the hands of his lawyers.

‘ARN has just announced that they’ve terminated my contract,’ he said.

‘I don’t accept it. My lawyers told them last week this would be invalid. And guess what? It is.’

Sandilands explained what happened: Jackie and he had a disagreement on the radio, which wasn’t unusual after working together for 25 years. It was something they’d done many times before.

‘And ARN took the situation and decided to try and burn the place down.’

Continuing, Sandilands doubled down on a previous claim that he had been ‘muzzled’ by the network.

Jackie was fired, and I was suspended. They even prevented me from contacting her or anyone else involved with the show, refusing to let me use the phone.

What really bothers me is that after they deliberately sabotaged the show, they blamed us for the failure and fired us.

Sandilands began dating Kynaston in December 2019, after ending his relationship with Imogen Anthony.

They welcomed their son Otto in 2022 before tying the knot in April 2023.
