Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 Update 1.022 Fixes Room Renting Issue, Removes New Game From Pause Menu
Key Takeaways
- The ‘New Game’ option has been removed from the in-game pause menu to prevent accidental save overwrites, with a more robust solution planned for a future update.
- A bug causing Goatskin to disappear in the ‘Into the Underworld’ quest when loading saves from version 1.1.X after updating to version 1.2 has been fixed.
- Visual artifacts occurring in Performance mode on PlayStation 5 have been resolved.
On March 20th, Warhorse Studios released hotfix 1.2.2 for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 on both consoles and PCs. This update is labeled as Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 version 1.022. Although it doesn’t introduce any new content, it does address several persistent issues that have been bothering players.
What problems have been addressed? The problem concerning room rentals has been resolved, and the ‘New Game’ option has been eliminated from the in-game pause menu to prevent unintentional overwrites. For consoles, the PS5’s Performance mode artifacting issue is included in the update log.
Keep in mind that this update is more of a quick solution (hotfix) rather than the extensive one (major patch) from last week which brought over 1,000 fixes and introduced a new feature such as a Barbershop.
Kingdom Come Deliverance PS5 Performance Mode Issue Fixed in Patch 1.022
Here’s what Warhorse had to say about the KCD2 patch released on March 20:
Fixes and Improvements
Room Renting
I’ll provide a solution for the problem that allowed players to continue being labeled as intruders even after they had left a rented room, exited the map, and then came back.
User Interface
We took away the “New Game” feature from the game’s pause menu to prevent any unintentional replacement of ongoing gameplays. A stronger solution, which will be introduced in an upcoming update, is being developed.
Into the Underworld Quest
Resolved a problem occurring in the game where Goatskin items were vanishing upon loading a saved game from version 1.1.X, following the update to version 1.2.
Platform-Specific Fixes
- PlayStation 5: Resolved visual artifacts occurring in Performance mode.
- PC: Fixed an issue where closing the barber overlay with a mouse would break the main menu.
Warhorse continues to offer assistance following the release of their popular RPG game, and it’s likely that additional updates will become available in the future.
