Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Has A Johnny Silverhand Reference

Summary

  • Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 features a reference to Cyberpunk 2077.
  • Johnny Silverhand’s ancestor, Johann Silverfist, is in the game.
  • He’s not imaginary.

In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, there are numerous nods to various video games, films, and television series. As you traverse medieval Bohemia, you’ll come across items such as Luffy’s straw hat from One Piece, a deceased character adorned with two swords and a pot on its head reminiscent of Elden Ring’s “Let Me Solo Her,” and even dialogue involving an arrow being aimed at the knee, or more appropriately, the head in this context.

It appears that game developer Warhorse Studios has incorporated numerous references throughout their creation, and it looks like one more has been spotted – this one hinting at CD Projekt Red’s Cyberpunk 2077. Despite the vast difference in time settings between the two games, there seems to be a link as our fictional character from the dystopian future appears to have made his way into Bohemia, or perhaps it was an ancestor of his who came before.

Wake Up Peasant, We Have A Castle To Besiege

As part of their journey, it’s likely that one character encountered a Non-Player Character (NPC) bearing a remarkably similar name prior to the wedding event. In Kuttenberg, you may stumble upon Johann Silverfist, whose name shares a striking resemblance with Keanu Reeves’s character, Johnny Silverhand, from Cyberpunk 2077.

In contrast to his future counterpart who detonates castles, Silverfist presently doesn’t plan such destruction. However, given that he isn’t a prominent character in the game world, it could be easy to overlook him. As GameRant points out, you can encounter him during the Kuttenberg Tournament mission, where he appears as one of several NPCs for you to battle within the repeatable quest.

It’s clear as day that the medieval peasant lifestyle is currently trendy, as Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 managed to sell 2 million copies within only 13 days. Notably, Warhorse Studios began making a profit when one million copies were sold, which means they’ve been earning substantial income, a fitting reward for their hard work and success.

The players are immersed in exploring the world and participating in activities to such an extent that they’ve delayed starting the main quest – attending Lord von Bergow’s wedding. This delay has become a popular topic of humor within the gaming community.
