How to start Finger of God in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2
In Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, the penultimate mission in the Trosky region is called “Finger of God.” This quest becomes available once you’ve completed the “Divine Messenger” questline, and it begins when you resume control of Henry following the period where you controlled Father Godwin. The Finger of God quest starts at Nebakov Castle, post Jan Zizka’s treatment. In this mission, you must ready yourself for a confrontation with Otto Von Bergow.
Hurry up when you reach Nebakov Castle’s courtyard, as there are several tasks to accomplish before the upcoming conflict ensues.
Finger of God quest guide
When you take back charge of Henry, Father Godwin will guide you towards your initial goal. After a friendly greeting, Godwin will begin administering final rites for your fallen comrades as you prepare their graves. You’ll need a spade for this task, so grab the nearby shovel if you don’t already have one to carry on with your duties.
1. Three of these need to be put away to achieve our goal, and then you’ll be told to speak with Godwin once more. After that, follow him back to Nebakov Castle to start the following task.
2. To finish this mission, we must hide three items, and afterward, you’ll be instructed to converse with Godwin again. Subsequently, follow him back to Nebakov Castle to begin the next phase of the objective.
3. Hiding three objects will accomplish our goal, and then you’ll have to chat with Godwin once more. Then, return to Nebakov Castle with him to initiate the following mission.
4. Three items must be concealed for us to achieve success, at which point you’ll be told to discuss things with Godwin again. After that, follow him back to Nebakov Castle to start the next part of the assignment.
5. In order to complete this task, we need to secret three objects. This will lead you to talk to Godwin once more. Follow him back to Nebakov Castle to begin the following objective.
Visit the training grounds alongside Godwin, where one of the guards will acquaint you with their latest invention – the Handgonne. In the upcoming game Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, this early medieval weapon will be your initial introduction to gunpowder weapons, and it’s quite potent. However, do take note that its accuracy leaves much to be desired, as demonstrated during training sessions. For optimal effectiveness, aim for close-range shots.
Once the testing period ends, you’ll have full access to explore the castle. This opportunity allows you to check on those in need. Assisting each individual will enhance your standing with them, making them more considerate and friendly towards you when interacting or conducting business together.
Helping the Groom
Straight after completing the Handgonne tutorial, head back to the stables where you’ll encounter Groom Peltzel. Speak with him, and he will explain that despite being enemies previously, he is willing to work together if you provide him with three horseshoes for his new steeds. These horseshoes can either be Knight’s Horseshoes or Farmer’s Horseshoes.
Here are a few options:
1. If you’ve got three of them with you right now, hand them over to Peltzel to finish the quest. Otherwise, head towards the forge, start crafting them. Speaking with Apprentice Bull gives you an opportunity to buy one horseshoe from him, but you’ll need to forge the other two yourself. Once you have all three, return to Peltzel, and the objective will be accomplished.
2. If you currently possess three of them, deliver them to Peltzel so he can finish the quest. If not, travel to the forge, start creating them. Conversing with Apprentice Bull enables purchasing one horseshoe from him, but crafting the other two will be necessary. Once all three are in your possession, retrace your steps back to Peltzel, and the objective will be fulfilled.
3. Should you currently have three of them on hand, pass them along to Peltzel for quest completion. If not, journey to the forge, start fabricating them. Communicating with Apprentice Bull provides an option to buy one horseshoe from him, but the remaining two will require your own crafting skills. Once you’ve gathered all three, return to Peltzel, and the objective will be complete.
Whilst you’re present, you might as well help out by moving some bags onto a cart for an added boost to your standing. Afterward, make your way back into the castle to converse with Bull.
Helping the Blacksmith Apprentice
Speaking with Apprentice Bull initially reveals that he harbors resentment towards anyone associated with the army that took down his master. At first, he’ll be reluctant to work with you, but as you successfully navigate several dialogue exchanges, he should open up more. To earn his favor, it’s essential to lend a hand at the forge since Bull is quite inept at smithing.
Go get three broken weapons from a barrel close by, then fix them on the sharpening wheel or instantly restore their durability using a Blacksmith Kit, if you have one, so Bull’s forge is fully equipped.
1. Return the fixed weapons to Bull, completing the quest and boosting your reputation. After that, make your way to the main structure for your next task. (Or)
2. Hand over the repaired weapons to Bull, finishing the quest and improving your standing. Subsequently, proceed to the central building for your forthcoming objective. (Or)
3. Deliver the refurbished weapons to Bull, thus completing the mission and enhancing your reputation. Next, move towards the main edifice for your upcoming assignment.
Helping Klara
When you visit Nebakov Castle again, you might recall encountering Klara. She’s usually stationed close to the main structure, engaged in a heated discussion with two guards about how they should handle their adversaries. Upon meeting her this time, she doesn’t seem as cheerful as before. Your mission is to either persuade or challenge the guards so that you can enter the building and assist Klara in caring for your former comrades.
Afterward, Klara may become more open to you and share her appreciation for your shared experiences. She will express concern over three individuals who appear to be in a dire state. Engage with her to gather information about medicine and addressing particular symptoms, then make your way back down the slope to encounter these patients: Mark, Zwerk, and Kozliek.
If you’ve mastered skills in Survival, Thievery, Craftsmanship, and Alchemy, particularly with levels exceeding 15, you should effectively be able to identify their ailments, much like Klara instructed. Treat their symptoms as she showed you and they should show improvement. To successfully nurse them back to health, you’ll require Fever Tonicum, Schnapps, Painkiller Brew, Chamomile Brew, Marigold Decoction, and some Bandages.
Following the successful treatment, return to Klara who’ll express gratitude and propose rekindling your past relationship. She can join you at night in bed, then you can both retire to sleep. Ensure all daily activities are attended to, such as playing dice with Hans Capon, and prepare several Marigold Decoctions for yourself before retiring for the evening.
I’m sorry to say, but it seems like you won’t get much rest ahead. So, brace yourself as this might be the last tranquil moment Henry experiences for some time.
Attack on Nebakov Castle
The ultimate goal in this final mission is to repel the sudden assault on Nebakov Castle. Following Istvan Toth’s connection with his true commander, Otto von Bergow, armies from Troskowitz and a segment of Prague militia under Markvart von Aulitz will arrive. You’ll start your position on the castle’s ramparts while a conversation unfolds between Istvan and Zizka.
Immediately following our conversation, you’ll find yourself in a defensive stance. If you happen to be carrying a bow or crossbow, aim for as many of the leading troops as possible. As time goes on, their numbers will grow too strong, and they’ll attempt to scale the ramparts using ladders. Retrieve a Voulge from the nearby armory, ready it, and knock down the ladders before the enemy becomes too overwhelming.
After securing the ramparts, converse with Zizka who will instruct you to proceed to the gate. Upon arrival, grab a nearby boulder and hurl it through the opening to strike an adversary’s head. The first foe you eliminate will award you the “Rock and Stone!” achievement. Aim for as many as possible to delay their assault on the gate. Next, focus on eliminating any enemies who manage to breach the barriers.
After the region is free from adversaries, ascend the ladder into the subsequent area. There, join forces with your fellow soldiers to battle an incoming raiding party. Do as much damage as possible during this fight. Upon defeating the raiding party, you will be instructed to return to the main castle structure. Zizka will then notify you of the enemy’s plans, at which point you should tidy up any remaining foes and prepare for the conclusion.
Ending
Henry and his fellow survivors, which include Zizka and Godwin, will gather in the uppermost chamber of Nebakov Castle. When they peer out, they’ll witness the awe-inspiring colossal cannon known as the Hand of God. Immediately upon being unveiled, the Hand of God will commence firing on Nebakov Castle, penetrating the top room and obliterating the castle roof.
The roof caves in on those still alive, causing Henry to faint, signaling the end of the “Finger of God” storyline. Upon waking up, you’ll discover that you, Godwin, and Zizka are all in a cart, being transported back to Troskowitz Castle. Sir Hans Capon has been captured and will eventually be released for a ransom. However, the question remains: What happens next to Henry and the others?
After that, the narrative unfolds in “Storm,” marking the conclusion of the Trosky segment within “Kingdom Come Deliverance 2.”
