In Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, Banquet for the Impoverished offers an excellent opportunity for players who enjoy stealing, sneaking, and a hint of mystery. This mission also serves as your initiation into the Kuttenberg thieves’ guild.

Put away your polished armor and put on some subdued attire instead: Cheynek dreams of being Robin Hood, Knuckles eyes potential profits, and Henry is given his initial chance to navigate the intricate world of thieves’ guild politics.

To ensure you maximize your chances in the ‘Feast for the Poor’ quest within Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, keep reading to uncover all potential benefits and avoid missing any valuable opportunities.

How To Start Feast For The Poor

To initiate this quest, Henry must converse with Cheynek, however, Cheynek refuses to engage with Henry unless he’s completed a specific task: locating “Goatskin” while on the primary quest, “Into the Underworld”.

If it’s your initial encounter with Cheynek, you could propose three options: engage in a fight with his associate, Goliath; pay 200 groschen; or deliver a persuasive speech. This interaction will progress your primary objective and he may ask for further assistance from you.

You don’t need to wait: return to him immediately and Cheynek will ask you a few questions.

To successfully pass his test and begin the Feast for the Poor appropriately, use “Repentance”, “The Commoners”, and a reference to “Wenceslas” in your responses. He may appreciate your answers more if they are not necessarily factually correct but creatively incorporate these elements.

The Feast for the Poor isn’t about fighting, instead, it requires a fair amount of stealthy maneuvering. To maximize your chances of success, wear subdued attire for camouflage and operate under cover of darkness.

Talk to Knuckles (Optional):

Outside the bar, you’ll encounter a man dressed in grey who isn’t exactly on the up-and-up. He’ll request your help in taking a valuable bottle of wine from the warehouse storage, intending to resell it for profit.

If you take on this extra task, he’ll provide you with three lockpicks, a quickfinger elixir to weaken resistance, and a nighthawk elixir to aid in stealth – all items designed to facilitate your work somewhat.

Stealing Supplies

If Mutt is with you, it would be wiser to ask him to go home or instruct him to stay put. This increases the chances that security personnel might focus on your dog, potentially revealing your actions.

First, stop by Kuttenberg’s market to purchase a cabbage. After that, travel south beyond the wall; when you see a group of elaborate green tents in the center, you’ll have reached the warehouse.

Currently, you have two options: One is to patience-ly wait until the guard moves away from the entrance, and the other is to sneak through a window located on the western side of a barn.

The Sausages

In the biggest green tents situated at the camp’s eastern border, you’ll discover sausages. To bypass the extremely challenging locks, you can either snatch a guard’s keys (by pickpocketing them) or knock one out and retrieve the key from their motionless body after they’ve lost consciousness.

As an alternative, if you’re carrying multiple keys, you could attempt to open the lock in an unconventional manner. Place all your cucumbers together to amuse yourself at Sigismund’s cost.

The Wine

In the heart of the complex, you’ll come across Knuckles’ wine after unlocking a particularly tough lock on a chest, which is situated close to the main structure.

If it’s your initial experience with challenging locks for this particular mission, you’ll also earn the recognition titled ‘Agile Hands’.

Use any nighthawk and quickfinger potions to make the thievery easier if you’re struggling.

The Feast

As soon as the sun comes up, Henry starts giving out charities, or in this case, distributes sausages to the beggars of Kuttenberg. Each beggar is allowed to take up to five sausages.

After stealing the wine, you have two options: Knuckles might offer to buy it from you for 100 groschen, or else you could decide to sell it to a nearby vendor instead.

Once the banquet concludes, make your way back to Cheynek to formally conclude your mission. This action will enhance your standing in the community and mark the beginning of your association with Kuttenberg’s thieves’ guild.
