Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 devs chased down a 600-year-old star map for the sake of historical accuracy and immersion, and it should “be useful for Hardcore Mode”
In a more conversational style, one could say: Role-playing games (RPGs) are heavily dependent on their ability to immerse players, and Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 has taken this concept a notch higher by incorporating a genuine 600-year old star map for an authentic night sky depiction.
One player observes that in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, the game accurately depicts real constellations and the North Star aligns with the north. I may not be well-versed in astronomy to identify all the other stars, but if you can tell your Orion’s Belt from your Little Dipper, then it’s worth checking out when you next play.
Tobias Stolz-Zwilling, or Sir Tobi online, shared on Twitter that they endeavored to create a precise celestial chart for early summer of 1403 and incorporated it into their game. Truly impressive dedication! When inquired about the process, Zwilling mentioned, “We delved into the ancient practice of astrology.
The game offers numerous engaging elements, like how NPCs collect items depending on their wealth or social standing, and the secret bonuses you can earn by assuming certain roles through clothing and performing certain tasks over time.
Zwilling mentions, “Hardcore Mode will be beneficial around Mid April,” a challenging mode introduced in Kingdom Come: Deliverance that enhances game difficulty. Unlike the standard version, your location isn’t marked on the map in Hardcore Mode; you must rely on your environment to determine where you are. A clear understanding of the night sky and practical orienteering skills will aid greatly in this regard. These skills will also prove beneficial in Prologue: Go Wayback, an upcoming survival game by the creator of PUBG.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is out now.
