Kim Kardashian’s daughter, North West, showed off brightly colored nails in recent photos shared online on Thursday.
North West, the 12-year-old daughter of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, shared new photos of her outfit with her 2.5 million Instagram followers.
As a lifestyle expert, I’ve been following the buzz around this young star lately. It seems some fans have expressed worry about recent choices – specifically, some visible piercings, including ones on their fingers and face – and it’s understandable why people are talking about it.
One photo showed off Kim Kardashian’s long, blue nails, which featured silver studs and tiny piercing-like details.
Several of the nails featured the name ‘North-chan’ written in pink Japanese characters, seemingly a nod to the song ‘Bomb’ on the Vultures 2 album (2024) by her father and Ty Dolla $ign.
North and her sister Chicago, both eight years old, also appeared on the song, with North rapping a verse in Japanese.
She also posted a close-up video of her nails, slowly zooming in to highlight the intricate details.
In the reel, North also tagged licensed nail technician Noehmi Saldana as well as Akemi Santiago.
The next picture was a selfie of the young girl, playfully covering her mouth to show off her confident style again.
A fuzzy black cap was placed over her long blue hair which had ‘Nor11’ printed on the front.
Oh my gosh, you guys, there was this picture… it was a little fuzzy, but it was North! She was in Japan, just standing on a street, and she had, like, a ton of shopping bags! I seriously screenshotted it like five times, it was amazing!
The lyrics ‘Shoppin’ in Japan, that’s where I always stand’ appeared on the screen – a line from her new song, ‘Piercing On My Hand’.
Last August, people became worried when the young girl showed off what looked like a piercing on her hand while on vacation in Italy with her mom. It was a small piercing with two silver balls positioned just below the knuckle of her middle finger.
In October, the young teen also shared another TikTok video, this time showing off temporary face tattoos and grillz.
The 12-year-old showed off her blue hair styled in braids in a set of short videos. She also wore black grillz and a fake nose piercing.
The videos received a lot of different reactions online, and Kardashian quickly defended her oldest child after people criticized their appearance.
Okay, so last December, North finally spoke up on TikTok – their shared account, of course! – about all the drama surrounding her piercings. I was SO relieved she addressed it, honestly. Everyone was giving her flak, and she just…responded. It was amazing to see her take control of the narrative, you know?
She quickly recorded a video of herself while a voice in the background asked, ‘Why are you crying? How old are you? Just pull yourself together.’
North also included a caption on the video that said, ‘This is for anyone upset about a finger piercing.’
In January, she showed off what appeared to be additional finger piercings, even though some fans had expressed worry about the procedure being dangerous.
Last month, North West posted pictures on Instagram that seemed to show her with face piercings while she was out shopping.
North West’s song, “Piercing on My Hand,” was released in early February. Her father, Ye, and Will Frenchman produced the track.
The young author co-wrote ‘Piercing On My Hand’ with her father, and the book appears to be a reaction to criticism she received about her piercings.
Last January, North West unexpectedly appeared on FKA Twigs’ latest album, EUSEXUA. Her rap verse in Japanese on the song ‘Childlike Things’ sparked a variety of reactions from fans.
Last February, the 12-year-old artist signed a recording contract with Gamma, an independent entertainment company led by Larry Jackson, a former executive at Apple. Gamma also represents Mariah Carey.
According to Rolling Stone, North has started recording music in a studio as part of this new collaboration.
Kim Kardashian and her young daughter were recently seen leaving a recording studio in Los Angeles after an evening session.
The TV personality appeared to have supported her eldest child while at a studio together.
I’m so excited about North’s new venture! I’ve been following her closely, and it sounds like her mom is really stepping in to help her get ready for a much bigger launch. It’s amazing to see her taking these steps and having that support!
As a lifestyle and fashion insider, I’m keeping a close eye on what’s happening with Kim Kardashian’s brand! I’ve learned she’s officially trademarked ‘NOR11’ – it looks like we can expect to see a whole line of clothing, accessories, jewelry, and bags under that name very soon. It’s a really exciting development for her fans and fashion enthusiasts like myself!
The filings were submitted through KimYe’s Kid Inc, with Kardashian listed as an officer.
North West has already been seen wearing clothes from the NOR11 brand, and she’ll be showcasing the collection on her Instagram page.
