Kendrick Lamar bringing his Grand National tour to Australia… but not all fans are happy
American rapper Kendrick Lamar is bringing his Grand National tour to Australia.
The artist known for “Not Like Us” has scheduled two main performances in Melbourne and Sydney for December, providing Australian fans with an exciting early holiday gift.
The award-winning celebrity is scheduled to perform at Melbourne’s AAMI Park on the 3rd of December, followed by a show at Allianz Stadium in Sydney on the 10th of December.
On a typical Wednesday, the promoter, Live Nation, shared news about the upcoming tour of the artist known for his hit single “Alright” in Australia via their Instagram account.

The announcement generated quite a bit of chatter among fans.
Many found it disappointing that the Australia tour leg consisted of just two shows, along with the short timeframe between the announcement and the presale.
‘2 shows isn’t a tour and presale 48 hours from an announcement is ridiculous,’ one fan offered.
One person commented: ‘It’s so impressive, so patriotic! A story of two cities,’ while another said: ‘Get ready: Here comes news about Perth.’
One spectator noticed a possible scheduling oversight, as R&B legend Usher is set to perform in Sydney on the very same evening as Kendrick.
‘Same day as usher too wtf, this is not a national tour with only two cities??’ they wrote.
There was also a lot of positivity, as many people showed enthusiasm for the superstar’s concerts at Australian stadiums.
Or, in a more conversational style:
People weren’t just complaining; there were plenty who were really excited about the superstar’s gigs at Aussie stadiums!
One enthusiastic fan exclaimed, “It’s taking place! Everyone remain composed!”, reflecting the feelings of many others.
Despite some being disappointed with only two scheduled performances, Kendrick Lamar is far from taking it easy during his trip to Australia.
