TAG Heuer Unveils Special Edition Goodwood Festival of Speed Carrera Chronograph

Summary

  • TAG Heuer debuts Carrera x Goodwood Festival of Speed limited edition
  • Only 100 pieces made, inspired by British motorsport culture
  • Launching June 2025, initially exclusive to Goodwood members

As a passionate gamer, I’m thrilled to announce that TAG Heuer is making a comeback as the Official Timing Partner for the 2025 Goodwood Festival of Speed! To celebrate this exciting partnership, they’ve unveiled an exclusive limited-edition timepiece: the TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph x Festival of Speed. This watch is a tribute to the strong bond between British motor racing culture and TAG Heuer’s rich racing heritage. It combines vintage design with modern mechanics, embodying the spirit of both past and present.

This watch, housed in a 42mm steel casing, boasts a chronograph design with a lush green “clou de Paris” dial, inspired by the color of Goodwood Green and highlighted by strategic red accents. The accessory strap is a brown perforated leather rally band that evokes the feel of 1970s racing gloves. Powering this timepiece is TAG Heuer’s in-house automatic movement – the TH20-00 calibre – which offers chronograph functionality, a date display, and a water resistance of up to 100 meters. The case back features a sapphire window showcasing the Goodwood Festival of Speed logo and individual engraving “XXX of 100,” signifying its limited nature.

Originally designed for Goodwood Road Racing Club members, just 100 units of this Carrera watch are being made. According to TAG Heuer’s CEO Antoine Pin, the watch isn’t merely a timepiece; instead, it serves as a cultural homage to motorsport’s past and future. The Duke of Richmond, founder of Goodwood Festival of Speed, commended TAG Heuer for their lasting association with racing history, labeling the partnership as an “expression of mutual enthusiasm.” Beginning in June 2025, the watch will be accessible to the public, making it ideal for motorsport fans gathering in West Sussex to honor 75 years of Formula 1 tradition.
