Kelsey Grammer, 71, wears a grandpa cardigan during date night with wife, 47, after welcoming eighth child

I was so happy to see Kelsey Grammer and his wife, Kayte Walsh, enjoying a lovely date night in Los Angeles last Tuesday! They looked absolutely wonderful together.

The 71-year-old actor and his 47-year-old wife had a fun night out, enjoying some time to themselves while taking a break from caring for their young kids.

The couple, married in 2011, left E Baldi restaurant in Beverly Hills carrying several bags and takeout boxes.

For their date, the actor known for “Frasier” dressed comfortably, wearing a white polo shirt with a black, knitted cardigan over it.

For his casual date night, he wore dark gray jeans and denim blue suede shoes.

For their dinner date, his wife wore a light blue sweater with dark blue pants and leather sandals. The date was special, coming almost six months after they welcomed a baby when he was 70 years old.

In October 2025, Walsh and their partner welcomed their fourth child together, a baby boy named Christopher. This brings Walsh’s total number of children to eight, with their oldest child now in their 40s.

He first became a father in 1983, welcoming daughter Spencer with his first wife Doreen Alderman. 

In 1992, he had his second child, daughter Greer, with his then-girlfriend Barrie Buckner. 

After a short marriage to dancer Leigh-Anne Csuhany, Kelsey Grammer had two children with his third wife, Camille Grammer (born Donatacci): a 24-year-old daughter named Mason and a 21-year-old son named Jude.

Kelsey Grammer and his wife, Kayte Walsh, have four children together: a 14-year-old daughter named Faith, sons Gabriel, 12, and James, 9, and their youngest, Christopher.

When the couple announced they were expecting a baby in June 2025, a source shared with the Daily Mail that the news had brought them closer together. The source added that Kelsey was excited to experience fatherhood again and fully enjoy it.

He’s been a wonderful support to Kayte during her pregnancy, and even though it was a surprise, it’s brought them closer together and revitalized their marriage.

This will be the couple’s fourth child. With Kelsey’s children from previous relationships, their new baby will be surrounded by a lot of love.

Having revisited the role of Frasier in the recent revival, Kelsey Grammer feels ready to move on to new projects. The show was ultimately cancelled after its second season.

The source said he’s excited to finally be a fully involved, hands-on parent, making up for lost time.

Just a couple months later, Grammer opened up about being a father to a newborn baby at age 70. 

In December 2025, he opened up about ‘what a blessing’ the experience has been for him. 

The actor, known for his role in ‘Frasier,’ shared how grateful he is to have a young child in his life. He said looking at his four children and wife made him realize things couldn’t be more perfect.

The actor shared that becoming a father to his daughter, Spencer, in 1983 was a very different experience than it is today. He was about 28 years old at the time, during his first marriage to Alderman.

He explained to TMZ that when you’re young, you’re focused on establishing yourself, supporting your family, and becoming the person you aspire to be, and all of that takes a lot of time.

The actor told E! News that his baby boy is a joy. He described the baby as easygoing and praised his wife, Kayte, for being an amazing mother. He added that while they were good parents with their first children, they’ve really found their rhythm this time around.

‘It’s great to have this new life in our life,’ he added.
