Kelly Osbourne hits out at trolls for ‘disgusting’ body-shaming comments over her weight-loss after latest public appearance at London Fashion Week

Kelly Osbourne has spoken out against people criticizing her body online, following harsh comments about her weight loss.

Recent public appearances by Ozzy Osbourne, especially at London Fashion Week on Sunday, have understandably worried people about his health.

The singer and TV star, who has said she hasn’t used weight loss injections, appeared much thinner at a recent fashion show at Claridge’s Hotel in Mayfair.

She has publicly condemned the people who have been harassing her online, including a particularly hurtful comment about her father, Ozzy, who died last July.

I was absolutely shocked to see this message someone sent recently. It was incredibly hurtful – they said I looked like a ‘dead body,’ commenting on my weight and even wishing harm on me. To add insult to injury, they followed it up with laughing emojis. It’s just unacceptable, and I wanted to share it to show the kind of negativity people can face online.

Okay, seriously, I was scrolling and saw this awful thing someone said about her, and she replied! She was so rightfully furious, she wrote, ‘I just can’t even wrap my head around how vile some people can be! Nobody, nobody deserves to be treated like that!’ It just makes me so mad seeing her get any negativity at all, she’s amazing and doesn’t deserve it!

Sharing a second post, she added: ‘This too shall pass, but like, holy f**k.’

Since her father’s unexpected death at his home last summer, Osbourne has frequently had to address comments about how she looks.

The British TV star has often discussed her struggles with body image, which began when she was a teenager and appearing on her family’s reality show, The Osbournes.

During an appearance on The Osbournes podcast last year, she shared that the agency head called her into his office and told her she needed to lose weight because she wasn’t considered suitable for television in her current shape. He said losing weight would improve her appearance.

‘And he was just saying, “You’re not a movie star, but you could be one if you lost weight.”‘

Since then, Osbourne’s eight journey has been a rollercoaster.

In 2018, she had gastric sleeve surgery, which she described as the best decision of her life. She lost 85 pounds by combining the surgery with a healthy diet and intense workouts.

Pregnancy brought new challenges. While expecting her son, Sidney, in 2022, Osbourne gained about 100 pounds and developed gestational diabetes. She later shared that this led her to stay out of the public eye.

According to a source, she’s shared that she lost weight wanting to be healthy for her child and be there for them for years to come. Losing her own father recently made this goal even more meaningful to her.

She’s determined to avoid gaining weight and is committed to doing whatever it takes to stay thin.

Osbourne has consistently responded to criticism about her weight loss, specifically denying claims she used the drug Ozempic.

People have been speculating that I used Ozempic, but that’s not true. I never took it. I’m not sure where that rumor started, but my mother has used Ozempic in the past, as I’ve mentioned before.

Friends and family of Kelly are concerned about her well-being and are keeping a close watch, but aren’t planning any immediate intervention. A source told the Daily Mail that people have noticed a change and are monitoring the situation.

Kelly doesn’t care about her appearance and will firmly shut down anyone who comments on it, but she surprisingly gets bothered when people talk about it anyway, according to a source.

She’s naturally very thin and has always been conscious of her weight. The recent loss of her father has been incredibly difficult, and it’s been impacting both her physical health and appearance.
