I can’t believe it’s happening to us.
After seven successful seasons, “The Kelly Clarkson Show” will be ending. Kelly Clarkson, the Grammy-winning musician who hosted the Daytime Emmy Award-winning talk show, announced her decision to leave the show on Monday.
Kelly Clarkson shared that she’s choosing to focus on her kids. She has two children with her former husband, Brandon Blackstock, who sadly passed away in August at the age of 48.
Kelly Clarkson announced she will be leaving her daytime talk show, ‘The Kelly Clarkson Show,’ after this season. In a statement, she said it was a difficult decision, but she wants to focus more on her children and family. She expressed gratitude for the amazing team she’s worked with in both Los Angeles and New York.
Kelly Clarkson launched her talk show in September 2019, building on her popularity from winning the first season of “American Idol” in 2002 and her recent return to TV as a coach on “The Voice” in 2018. The show highlighted Clarkson’s warm and friendly personality through interviews with both celebrities and ordinary people. It also featured popular segments like “Kellyoke,” where she performed covers of well-known songs.
I’m incredibly thankful and proud to have worked with such a fantastic band and crew, and with all the talented, inspiring people who shared their time with us. I also want to thank our amazing fans for their support, and NBC for being a wonderful partner. This isn’t a final farewell! I’ll continue to make music and perform occasionally, and you might even see me on ‘The Voice’ now and then. Who knows where I’ll pop up next! For now, I just want to express my sincere gratitude for letting our show be a part of your lives and for sticking with us for seven wonderful years.
Season seven of “The Kelly Clarkson Show” premiered in September and will continue with its planned schedule. Kelly Clarkson will be back as host, and a few guest hosts will also be joining the show. New episodes will air throughout September.
