Sources say Keith Urban is planning a new album focused on themes of heartbreak and getting even, following his separation from Nicole Kidman.

The high-profile couple finalised their divorce in January after 19 years of marriage.

Country singer Russell Dickerson, a friend of Keith’s, recently mentioned that Keith is creating new music.

There’s talk that Keith, age 58, is pouring his feelings about the breakup into a new album, which insiders say will be incredibly emotional and powerful.

According to Woman’s Day, Keith Urban is processing his split from Nicole Kidman by writing songs, and he’s reportedly discovered he has plenty of material to work with. Sources say he’s proving to be just as candid about his feelings as artists like Taylor Swift and Lily Allen.

According to a source, 58-year-old Nicole worried that her husband, Keith, might start writing songs about their relationship struggles, similar to how Taylor Swift often turns heartbreak into music.

‘Nicole’s freaking out,’ the source claimed.

Despite the restrictions Keith faces due to his divorce agreement, his ex-wife couldn’t control what he created musically.

‘It’s the only outlet he has to express himself and she’s right to be worried.’

Keith is working on his thirteenth studio album, which is expected to be released sometime after his previous one in 2024.

The album peaked at number 38 on the Billboard 200 chart and reached the top ten on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart.

During a performance in Pennsylvania last October, Keith altered the lyrics to his song “You’ll Think of Me,” a song about heartbreak, shortly after news of his split from Nicole became public.

He playfully altered the phrase ‘Take your space and take your reasons,’ replacing the end with a more colorful ‘Take your bulls reasons,’ as reported by Us Weekly.

Sources say Keith is deeply upset by the playful interaction and how fast Nicole seems to be moving forward after their separation.
