As a seasoned observer of public figures’ lives, I must say that Katie Price’s financial woes seem to be a never-ending rollercoaster ride. From bankruptcy to tax evasion, it’s almost as if her life is scripted for a reality TV show.

Katie Price stated that she’s working diligently to set things right following the issuance of an arrest warrant against her.

The judge issued a warrant following her absence at the bankruptcy court hearing worth £760,000, as it appeared she had traveled overseas instead.

The ex-fashion model, aged 46, is believed to have gone to Turkey again for cosmetic procedures, disregarding the ‘explicit instructions’ to appear in court.

On Tuesday, Katie posted a message on her Instagram expressing that she understands the gravity of her current financial predicament.

As someone who has faced financial hardships and bankruptcy before, I can empathize with the feelings of shock and disbelief when unexpected events thrust you back into the spotlight. It seems that no matter where life takes me, it always manages to surprise me in ways I never could have imagined. This time, while working on a documentary about corrective surgeries, I find myself once again making headlines, and I can’t help but wonder if there will ever be a moment of peace and respite from the tumultuous rollercoaster that is my life. But I remain hopeful, learning and growing through each experience, and looking forward to whatever challenges and opportunities the future may bring.

In my view, the media appears to be repeatedly attempting to subject me and my loved ones to further embarrassment. It seems there are much larger and urgent matters unfolding globally that deserve our attention, and I believe many people find these recurring, often distorted stories tiresome.

As a seasoned professional with years of experience under my belt, I am committed to maintaining open lines of communication and collaboration with relevant parties even when I’m away from work. In light of my extensive background, I understand that addressing pressing matters requires a unified effort, and I strive to do my part by keeping the ball rolling in my absence. When I return, I will be ready to tackle these issues head-on, leveraging the progress we’ve made together during my time away.

‘Though repeated accounts have been aimed at making me feel ashamed about my personal struggles, I remain unfazed. I acknowledge my circumstances and am diligently working towards resolving them and setting things right.’

Katie mentioned that she’s facing some tough periods right now, but she’s making every effort possible to support her loved ones.

She explained: ‘I must keep working to comply with the bankruptcy orders, which is my primary focus at the moment. However, I’m not evading issues, and I will remain committed to addressing them with utmost seriousness.’

During difficult circumstances, I’m making every effort to correct issues as effectively as possible. I’d also like to reiterate that there are many other significant and newsworthy events happening.

“I’m committed to addressing my mental health issues, not just for myself but also for my family, and giving it my all in the process.”

In May, Katie announced on her personal podcast that she was excused from court appearances due to her mental health concerns, following criticism for skipping a previous bankruptcy hearing to vacation in Cyprus.

Initially scheduled to testify about her financial matters at the High Court in May, she reportedly informed her legal team at the onset of the hearing that she was unable to appear due to health problems. The court’s presiding judge subsequently deemed this explanation as insufficient or lacking in substance.

Subsequently, Katie took a trip for vacation in Ayia Napa accompanied by her reality TV beau, JJ Slater. However, they encountered criticism from the public following their poolside sunbathing escapade being photographed by onlookers.

On her podcast, The Katie Price Show, Katie asserted that she was excused from court due to being mentally unfit. In simpler terms, she stated that the reason for her absence in court was because she wasn’t psychologically robust enough at the time.

I find myself often hearing comments like this: “She went bankrupt and then took a vacation? Unbelievable!” However, I believe it’s important to address such statements with understanding and empathy, as they may not fully grasp the complexities of another person’s life experiences.

As a seasoned attorney with years of practice under my belt, I have come to appreciate the intricacies and complexities that often surround bankruptcy cases. In this particular instance, my client was facing such a predicament. However, what set his case apart was his unique situation – he had been advised by his mental health consultant at The Priory to abstain from any court-related activities due to his current mental state.

At present, I lack the mental fortitude needed to face a trial, withstand questioning under cross-examination, and deal with both the press and the public scrutiny.

She went on: ‘I am taking my bankruptcy so serious, like I do everything else. It’s a very serious situation I’m in and it does look like “oh she’s just gone on holiday”.

‘No, my head at the moment needs a break. I had four days in my diary where I was able to go away.

“Currently, due to numerous personal issues I’m handling privately, I find myself unprepared to attend court as my mental state is unstable.”

So, for several months now, including since December, I’ve stayed away from TikTok. At this point in time, I’m only engaging in activities that my current physical and mental state allows.

She emphasized, “I’m treating the bankruptcy with utmost gravity. I’m certainly not enjoying a luxurious vacation nor am I staying at a lavish £760-a-night hotel.”

It wasn’t my action that led my friend to inform the hotel a week ahead about my arrival and request special care. Consequently, upon my arrival, I was unexpectedly upgraded at no cost, making this vacation seem more affordable than it originally was.

As your trusted lifestyle advisor, let me share some personal insights. In my upcoming court date, I won’t be present, as I’ve secured a written authorization granting me the exemption from attendance.

As a lifestyle advisor, I find myself compelled to share an update regarding a recent development: I regret to inform you that I will not be able to attend the upcoming court hearing. This decision comes after receiving correspondence from my appointed trustees. I feel it’s essential to keep everyone in the loop about this turn of events.

Prior to my vacation, I had a detailed discussion lasting about an hour with my trustees responsible for managing my two bankruptcy cases. During this conversation, I shared all the relevant details about my current situation. Since then, I have received letters from both my trustees and the court.

My consultant has provided a checklist of tasks I must complete for my discharge, which requires legal approval upon completion.

Today, I find myself returning, equipped with a series of scheduled meetings. I’ll be meeting with my consultant, my therapist, and various individuals who will play a crucial role in finalizing the legal process that marks a significant milestone for me.

Yesterday, right before her upcoming court hearing on July 30, Katie was seen posting a photo of herself eating a sandwich on an airplane.

On Instagram, the financially strained fashion model posted a photo of her lunch, stating, “Crisp sandwich is my favorite!”. It’s rumored that Price, who lost her £2 million ‘messy manor’ due to repossession, may have been accompanied on this outing by her friend Lou Anderson.

As entrepreneur and influencer Lou announced she was going to Turkey for a tummy tuck next week, it appeared that Price agreed to accompany her, since her response was: “Absolutely, Turkey here we come!”

Lou then replied with a series of clapping emojis and wrote: ‘Come on my girl’.

As reported by The Sun, a court official revealed earlier this week that the trial for Price is still scheduled for 10:30 am.

She could now be taken into custody having failed to appear at court.

In an exchange between entrepreneur and influencer Lou and someone else (referred to as Price), Lou announced that she was going to Turkey for a tummy tuck the following week. Price responded by saying, “Absolutely, Turkey it is!” indicating her intention to accompany Lou on this trip.

Lou then replied with a series of clapping emojis and wrote: ‘Come on my girl’.

As reported by The Sun, a court official revealed that as of this week, the trial for Price is still scheduled for 10:30 AM.

She could now be taken into custody having failed to appear at court.

TopMob has approached Katie’s representatives for comment.

Judge Catherine Burton at the Insolvency and Companies Court stated that Price was explicitly advised, prior to the hearing on Tuesday, of her necessity to be present.

In a London-based bankruptcy court, the previous model encountered queries about her financial affairs from lawyers acting on behalf of the trustee involved in her two instances of bankruptcy.

At the prior hearing, the judge warned Price that failing to show up for subsequent court dates could result in her being taken into custody. Furthermore, they stated that proof should be presented if her absence was unavoidable.

In today’s court hearing, Judge Burton stated that Price did not show up, and she didn’t offer any reason for missing the proceedings when issuing the arrest warrant.

She said: ‘It is in my judgment necessary that the court issue a warrant for Ms Price’s arrest.

‘She has no real excuse in failing to attend today’s hearing.’

She continued: ‘The reason for her absence today is irrelevant.’

Judge Burton stated that the issuance of the arrest warrant wasn’t a casual decision, but rather due to Price’s limited cooperation and failure to disclose essential details regarding her bankruptcy cases.

Back in March, the price was declared bankrupt for a second time due to an outstanding tax debt amounting to approximately £761,994.05. Earlier in 2019, the same individual had already filed for bankruptcy.

Later, she received a notice demanding that she vacate her Dirty Manor by the close of May. Since then, she’s taken up residence in a brand new Tudor-inspired home, costing £5,000 monthly.

Yet, last week, she stated that ‘everything has been resolved’ concerning her second bankruptcy following the eviction from her Sussex residence.

In her interview with Channel 5 News on Monday, the model asserted that she has learned effective strategies for handling problems and expressed confidence that she would not reach a critical point or struggle again.

During the broadcast, she shared: “I’m thriving quite well. I’ve discovered a great deal about myself, a significant amount regarding mental health, and of course, my recent diagnosis with ADHD has taught me a lot, which I deeply regret not knowing earlier.”

‘It becomes noise in your head, and then you just can’t cope with it, you think there’s no light at the end of the tunnel and then that caused depression, then a breakdown, suicidal, ended up at the Priory.’

In a hearing held in February, it was decided that Price must contribute 40% of her monthly earnings from the adult entertainment site, OnlyFans, towards a trustee over the course of the next three years. This decision was made due to her initial bankruptcy filing.

In March, she faced bankruptcy for the second occasion as a result of an overdue tax debt exceeding £750,000 that was owed to Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs.

Last October, Price expressed her exasperation over continuous legal threats against her, stating that she was prepared to serve time in prison to bring an end to the situation.

On Tuesday, she was set to address questions concerning her financial matters at an event called a public examination. In legal documents submitted prior, barrister Darragh Connell for the trustee informed the court that crucial details about the bankrupt’s income and assets are still absent.

In his testimony, he stated that he doesn’t know where Ms. Price is currently located. He also mentioned that she wouldn’t remain in custody for an extended period, but rather she will be temporarily held to ensure her presence at a forthcoming court date.

His statement implied: ‘She’s facing a critical situation regarding her freedom, but I regret to say, we’ve exhausted all possibilities related to this issue.’

In the court, it was noted that Price had earlier submitted several last-minute modifications for her prior proceedings.

Initially, the previous model filed for bankruptcy on November 26, 2019, and the initial application for this process was submitted on January 30, 2020.

At the start of the lockdown, I heard a case involving an application – just as things were getting locked down, Ms. Price reached out to the court to ask if she could join remotely because her son was in the hospital. This is what the judge stated.

‘The court acceded to that request.

‘Ever since then, there have been numerous postponements of the private examination due to various reasons. Most often, this was because Ms Price chose at the last moment to collaborate with the trustees to disclose essential information they had been trying to gather from her since she was declared bankrupt in 2019.’

Recently, I’ve noticed repeated postponements, allegedly due to health issues. At the International Criminal Court hearing with Judge Mullen on 26th April 2024, he highlighted the lack of convincing medical proof supporting these delays.

‘Katrina Price was warned in a firm manner that if she didn’t show up for the scheduled public exam without a valid excuse, she could be taken into custody immediately, without prior notification.’

As a diligent follower, I understand that the judge has suggested potential consequences for Katie, which may include imprisonment, fines, or other penalties according to the law, should she be found in contempt of court.

She went on to say: “The judge paused a public hearing at 10:30 am on May 14. But just before the resumed hearing, as before, Ms Price chose to collaborate and supply further fragmented details.”

Due to its late delivery, the trustee didn’t have enough time left in the day to verify if all the necessary details were included.

Judge Burton stated that the court was certain Katie had no misunderstanding about today’s public hearing being conducted.

‘She informed the trustee staff that she would be attending this hearing remotely.’

But no application for attending the hearing remotely was made, the court heard.

The judge mentioned that an individual could be freed from bankruptcy within a year if they fully cooperate throughout the process.

Since 2021, I’ve been expecting Ms. Price to fully cooperate and supply the essential information she’s required to provide. Regrettably, she has not only refused to cooperate but has also found herself subjected to a second bankruptcy order due to an unpaid tax debt exceeding £700,000. This was communicated in court by the judge.

Ms. Price often finds herself in the limelight, seemingly eager to attract media attention as a means to boost her earnings.

As a conscientious follower, I promptly reach out to the authorities, including the police and emergency services, whenever it appears that my property has been damaged.

The judge said ‘unlike every other taxpayer’ Price has ‘failed’ to pay her dues.

‘It falls to her to provide detail of income and expenditure,’ Judge Burton said.

She had the option to keep her personal finances private by working with trustees, but chose not to cooperate and consequently, attracted public attention.

TopMob has approached Sussex Police and the Metropolitan Police for comment.
