Justin Timberlake’s driver’s license is suspended by a New York judge at repeat arraignment
As a seasoned observer of the entertainment world, I must say that Justin Timberlake’s DUI case is a stark reminder of the double-edged sword that comes with fame. On one hand, he enjoys the luxuries and privileges afforded by his status; on the other, every move he makes is under the scrutiny of the public eye.
Justin Timberlake’s DUI incident during the summer in the Hamptons continues to cause trouble for him, more like it keeps taking something away instead of giving.
A New York judge revoked the driving license of a Tennessee-based singer after he was re-accused on a minor drunken driving charge, following his early-morning arrest in June.
An administrative error – as it seemed the initial arrest warrant was missing the signature of a police sergeant – led to the unexpected second court appearance for Timberlake. He personally attended the initial hearing, which coincided with his arrest on the same day.
As a cinema enthusiast, I’m sharing that on Friday, Justice Carl Irace of Sag Harbor Village accepted another ‘not guilty’ plea from a 43-year-old entertainer who happened to be on tour (you know, the global tour). This artist is set to perform in Antwerp, Belgium, this Saturday and Sunday before moving on to the United Kingdom.
Additionally, Irace implied a possible restriction on Edward Burke Jr.’s right to discuss the case publicly, hinting at a potential gag order. This came after his statements to media outlets were deemed inappropriate. In court last week, the attorney stated that “Justin Timberlake was not intoxicated” during his arrest and imprisonment in July. Moreover, Burke has consistently argued that “substantial mistakes” were made by the police.
Justin Timberlake stated to the law enforcement officer that he had consumed one martini and was heading home with some friends after leaving a hotel in Sag Harbor, when he was stopped in a gray 2025 BMW SUV at approximately 12:30 a.m. on June 18th. This information is based on court records examined by The Times.
In a court document, the police stated that the individual’s eyes appeared bloodshot and hazy, there was a distinct smell of alcohol on his breath, he had difficulty focusing, spoke slowly, was unsteady on his feet, and performed poorly on all standardized field sobriety tests. As reported in a June statement, Timberlake failed to stop at a stop sign and found it challenging to maintain his lane position.
The court date for the misdemeanor case has been scheduled for August 9th. At this time, representatives of Timberlake have yet to provide a comment in response to our request from The Times made on Friday.
