Jurassic World’s 1-Season Spinoff Series Will Officially Be Free To Stream In May

A Jurassic World series will roar its way onto free streaming next month.

The Jurassic Park movies are among the most successful science fiction franchises ever made. The story continues today with the Jurassic World films. Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard starred in the original trilogy, and Scarlett Johansson recently joined the franchise with Jurassic World Rebirth, which may get another movie. Beyond the films, several TV shows have also expanded the Jurassic universe.

Fans of Lego and Jurassic World have a reason to celebrate! The animated series, Lego Jurassic World: Legend of Isla Nublar, will be available to stream for free on Tubi starting May 4th. Unlike the live-action films, this series is known for its bright, funny LEGO animation style. Originally airing on Nickelodeon in 2019, all 13 episodes from the show’s single season will be released on Tubi at the same time.

Lego Jurassic World: Legend of Isla Nublar tells the story of Jurassic World before the dinosaurs escaped, offering fans a look at the park in its prime. While familiar characters return from the Jurassic World trilogy, they’re now voiced by different actors. Ian Hanlin (known from Sonic Prime) takes over the role of Owen, previously played by Chris Pratt, and Britt McKillip (from Ninjago) replaces Dallas Howard as Claire. The main villain, Danny Nedermeyer, is once again voiced by Adrian Petriw.

Danny is the nephew of Dennis Nedry, the villain from the original Jurassic Park movies. He works at Jurassic World but is secretly working to cause trouble. The upcoming Jurassic World series on Tubi currently has a 6.7 rating on IMDB. Lego Jurassic World: Legend of Isla Nublar isn’t the only animated series based on the Jurassic Park franchise. It actually continues the story from the 2018 special, Lego Jurassic World: The Secret Exhibit, and both shows feature the same characters. The special revolves around moving three dinosaurs to a new location.

Fans of the Jurassic World franchise have a lot to enjoy! Lego Jurassic World: The Secret Exhibit is currently well-received, with a 70% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes. Two animated series have also been popular on Netflix: Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous, which followed six teenagers stranded on an island, and its sequel, Jurassic World: Chaos Theory, which picks up six years later with the now-grown characters facing new dangers. On May 4th, Lego Jurassic World: Legend of Isla Nublar will be available to stream for free on Tubi, offering a fun backstory to the world.
