Judge says Taylor Frankie Paul and ex Dakota Mortensen showed ‘violence both ways’ in custody hearing

A Utah judge found that both Taylor Frankie Paul, a former contestant on ‘The Bachelorette,’ and her ex-boyfriend, Dakota Mortensen, engaged in violence during incidents of alleged domestic abuse, according to a ruling on Thursday.

Apparently, the judge – Commissioner Minas, his name is – basically said that both Paul and Mortensen have been… well, violent towards each other in the past. It came up during the hearing for little Ever, their two-year-old son. People magazine reported it, and honestly, it’s just… shocking. I mean, they seem so perfect, but apparently there’s been trouble on both sides! It’s just awful to think about, especially with Ever caught in the middle.

After the hearing, court records show Judge Minas approved protective orders for both Paul and Mortensen, preventing them from contacting each other, as requested by each party.

Recent events in the case follow ABC’s decision to not broadcast Paul’s season of The Bachelorette. This came after a troubling video emerged showing Paul throwing metal chairs at someone named Mortensen during a previous incident.

This is the first time the former couple, who are currently involved in legal disputes and accusations of domestic violence against each other, have been seen together in public.

During the live hearing, Minas stated that Paul and Mortensen have a volatile relationship and quickly become violent when they are together.

‘I’m finding that there’s been violence both ways between these parties,’ he said in court.
