John Wick 5 gets a disappointing update

As a seasoned gamer and ardent fan of the action-packed world of John Wick, I can’t help but feel a mix of emotions upon hearing Chad Stahelski’s words about potentially not topping the epic conclusion of Chapter 4. On one hand, it’s satisfying to see that the creative minds behind this masterpiece are content with their work and aren’t trying to milk the franchise for more money or cheap thrills.

Fans of the John Wick series may be disappointed to hear that director Chad Stahelski has shared his thoughts about if the story will continue past the highly praised Chapter 4.

In anticipation of the 10th anniversary of the initial film, the former stuntman-cum-director expressed that should there be a fifth film, it would preserve rather than reverse the flawless, somewhat melancholic conclusion of part four.

The co-creator stated to The Hollywood Reporter that you won’t see John Wick: Chapter 4. They explained that nothing can surpass what was already done, and this is final. It provides a sense of completion.

As a die-hard John Wick fan, I’m thrilled to share some exciting news: Stahelski confirmed that the fifth installment is currently in active development! Yet, he likened this process to an “exercise,” indicating it’s more about refining ideas rather than a finished product. He also hinted that the upcoming movie might deviate from our expectations, focusing on a fresh storyline instead of following fans’ wishes for another sequel centered around John Wick.

On occasion, we might employ a project as a learning experience; however, could we potentially take on the production of John Wick 5? Absolutely, there is always a chance, whether driven by financial gain or creative exploration, he asserted, mentioning that he’s conceived “three or four” different concepts for the fifth film.

We’ve got some fantastic concepts in mind, and they wouldn’t fit within the narrative of John Wick: Chapter 4. They wouldn’t align with your expectations.” He elaborated further.

If we manage to make it an excellent idea, one that neither Keanu nor I consider cheesy, then that would be fantastic. However, in terms of John Wick: Chapter 4, we’ve already reached our highest point. For me, that’s the pinnacle. That’s my zenith.

We brought the tale to an end, wrapping up all its threads neatly. Revisiting it now brings me immense joy, yet we’re not planning to expand or surpass it. A new narrative would need to emerge for any continuation.

Meanwhile, it has been announced that Keanu Reeves, who plays the role of Baba Yaga, will appear in the eagerly awaited spin-off film titled Ballerina. In this movie, Ana de Armas takes on the character of an assassin who embarks on a quest for vengeance following the death of her family.

It appears that, regardless of what happens with the movie franchise, Keanu Reeves isn’t planning to leave the world of John Wick behind. He will be producing the series titled “John Wick: Under The High Table,” which takes place following the events of Chapter 4.
