Amsterdam celebrated its yearly King’s Day earlier this week, and sportswear giant JD joined the festivities by hosting a music event, known as a soundsystem, in the Jordaan neighborhood.
Just a short walk from their main store on Kalverstraat, the retailer celebrated with a lively street party featuring music and dancing. They teamed up with Dutch DJ Jarreau Vandal to showcase local artists and DJs, including Lamsi, Disco Arabesquo, JAEL, and others, moving away from their usual fashion-focused events.

The streets came alive with celebration as fans in Dutch football jerseys and orange clothing filled the area to enjoy the music, creating a lively atmosphere. Later, Jarreau Vandal performed a special set, playing some of his most popular songs after spending the day enjoying the party with the crowd.
Even while putting on its own separate event, the music system at the King’s Day celebration highlighted the retailer’s commitment to creating genuine experiences for its customers, and supported their new campaign, “This Space Is Yours.”
