As a gamer with over two decades of experience under my belt, I can’t help but feel a sense of nostalgia and excitement when it comes to jawgemo’s move from Evil Geniuses to G2 Esports. The journey of this young Cambodian talent has been nothing short of inspiring, and his decision to join one of the most iconic esports organizations in history is a testament to his growth and ambition.
2023’s Valorant Champions Tour champion, jawgemo, is said to have verbally agreed to become part of the G2 Esports team for the upcoming Valorant season.
As a gamer myself, I’m sharing some news that’s been buzzing in the gaming community lately. The first Cambodian player to conquer an international event, jawgemo, is about to part ways with Evil Geniuses within the next few days. From what Alejandro Gomis, a keen investigative reporter for Sheep Esports, has uncovered, it seems that jawgemo reached an agreement to leave the team following his remarkable achievement of being the sole survivor on the roster after our triumph at the VALORANT Champions Tour in 2023.

Departure from Evil Geniuses
2023 was undeniably a stellar season for Evil Geniuses in the world of VALORANT. They clinched second place at VCT Masters: Tokyo and went on to win the VALORANT Champions Tour. This Canadian team truly shone. However, following this impressive triumph, every original player except jawgemo parted ways with the team.

Max Mazanov (also known as Demon1) and Ethan Arnold have moved to NRG, while Kelden Pupello has joined 100 Thieves in a leadership role as an in-game leader. Corbin Lee has also signed with the Argentinian team Leviatán. The possibility that all of his teammates are leaving for other teams might be why jawgemo could choose to leave too.
At just 25 years of age, jawgemo has been a member of the Evil Geniuses team since 2022. As reported by Sheep Esports, other teams such as NRG have shown interest in jawgemo, but he may be exploring opportunities beyond their offers.
Towards G2 Esports?
Reliable insiders at Sheep Esports claim that duelist jawgemo has reportedly struck a deal to join G2 Esports for the 2025 VCT Season. With G2 having placed third in VCT Masters: Shanghai and being knocked out by Fnatic, their rivals, from Champions 2024, they might be seeking new talent this year. Could jawgemo become the next Samurai? Time will tell!
