Great T-side halves pave the way for NAVI to beat G2 at BLAST Premier Fall Final 2024
As a seasoned gamer with years of CS:GO under my belt, I must say that NAVI’s performance against G2 at BLAST Premier Fall Final 2024 was nothing short of spectacular! The way they outclassed G2 on both maps was reminiscent of their victorious run in ESL Pro League season 20.
NAVI outclassed G2 with powerful T-side showings on both maps of the series.
On Thursday, September 26th, I found myself triumphantly advancing to the semifinals of the BLAST Premier Fall Final 2024 after a comfortable victory over G2 in our winner’s match from group A. It’s NAVI all the way!
Under the guidance of Aleksi “Aleksib” Virolainen, the team swiftly defeated G2 in a 2-0 series, fulfilling expectations. Natus Vincere (NAVI) have been playing exceptionally well recently and even clinched the ESL Pro League season 20 title, whereas G2 are currently working to regroup under Janusz “Snax” Pogorzelski’s command.

Dust 2 recap
Initially, Team G2 took off with an impressive beginning on Dust 2, taking a substantial lead of 8-1 at one stage thanks to their dominant T-side play. The game appeared to be in their grasp, although the first half ended with a score of 8-4 in their favor. NAVI gradually regained their confidence during this time.
After NAVI shifted to the attacking side (T-side), they delivered a near-perfect performance, giving up just one round to G2’s defense. Aleksib consistently made astute decisions throughout, alternating between methodical long controls aimed at planting on the A bombsite and brilliant B-site splits. Moreover, Ihor “w0nderful” Zhdanov was racking up multiple kills, as evidenced by the statistics.
Ancient
On Dust 2, NAVI maintained their advantage over G2 and demolished them from the start. There was hardly anything that Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov and his team could do to hinder NAVI’s progress, as they consistently found openings and made accurate plays on the right bombsite.
Following an impressive, dominating 9-3 T-side half, I found myself on the brink of victory thanks to Mihai “iM” Ivan’s spectacular pistol round. With very few rounds remaining, G2 was left struggling to keep up with us.
As a gamer, I’ve got to admit, b1t from NAVI really put the brakes on any potential comeback by G2 with his chilly clutch in an eco round. Despite G2 displaying some intriguing T-side strategies towards the end of the match, we couldn’t quite shake off NAVI and they ultimately sealed the map for themselves.
When do G2 and NAVI play again at BLAST Premier Fall Final?
Tomorrow, G2 will compete in the quarterfinals, facing the victor between Astralis and Team Spirit. Meanwhile, NAVI will be back in action on Saturday.
