You can now watch Jason Watkins‘s historical documentary, The Betrayal of Anne Boleyn: Inside the Tower of London Special, on My5. It became available on the streaming service after premiering on Channel 5 on Wednesday, April 29th, and has been highlighted as one of their must-see documentaries.

I’ve been completely captivated learning about Anne Boleyn’s life, starting from her happy childhood at Hever Castle and following her all the way to the tragic end in the Tower of London. It’s incredible – and heartbreaking – to see how a complicated mix of power plays, desires, and betrayals ultimately led to her execution in 1536. It really makes you understand what happened back then.
This program explores the days just before Anne’s execution, looking at the people who might have betrayed her and trying to determine who was really responsible for the downfall of this famous queen.
