Channel 5 has renewed its thriller series, The Game, for a second season. Jason Watkins will return as the detective, and Robson Green as the man he’s chasing. Sunetra Sarker (known from Ackley Bridge), Indy Lewis (Industry), and Amber James (Vera) are also confirmed to reprise their roles in the new season of this “cat and mouse” chase.
Channel 5 has also shared a preview of what viewers can look forward to in season 2 of The Game, along with the initial announcement.
I’m so excited for the new series! It picks up a year after the first one, and it looks like Huw, the detective played by Jason Watkins, thinks he’s finally moved on. He survived that awful stabbing and believes he’s free from the mental torment caused by the serial killer, Patrick – you know, the one Robson Green plays, who’s now thankfully in prison.

Robson Green, known for his role in the popular show Grantchester, said he’s thrilled to be returning for the second series of The Game. He teased that Patrick is back and more determined than ever, promising viewers another fantastic season.
Filming for season 2 of The Game is now underway, and a new photo has been released showing actor Jay Ellis Watkins back on set.
