Ja Morant, the star point guard for the Memphis Grizzlies, is now handling the release of his own sneakers directly. Frustrated with leaks spoiling the reveal, he used Instagram and X (formerly Twitter) to officially introduce his fourth Nike signature shoe, the Ja 4. Instead of a typical press release, Morant shared detailed photos and showed off five different color options, giving fans a complete first look at the new basketball shoe.
The new Nike Ja 4 is a significant change from the previous Ja 3, featuring a cleaner, more modern look that some have compared to soccer cleats. It has a single-piece upper with a diamond pattern and a distinctive Swoosh logo placed towards the heel. A unique detail is the player’s initials subtly integrated into the shoe – a jeweled Swoosh forms the ‘J’, while the ‘A’ is built into the side of the shoe.
Ja Morant recently showcased five striking color combinations for his upcoming shoe, including navy with light green, aqua and red, a vibrant pink with gold, a deep blue option, and a sleek black pair with a marbled effect. Although Nike hasn’t released official details yet, sources say the shoe will feature a Cushlon 3.0 foam midsole, a ZoomX insole, and enhanced carbon fiber support to provide a lightweight and responsive feel during games.
The Ja 4 line will also be the first to include a high-top version of Ja Morant’s signature shoe. Leaks suggest this high-top will have a laceless design with a mesh upper, offering a more secure and high-end feel.
Ja Morant’s shoe line with Nike continues to be very popular as he looks forward to the 2026-2027 NBA season. The Nike Ja 4 low-tops will be available in stores starting Fall 2026, priced between $130 and $140. High-top versions will release during the holidays in 2026 and will cost $180.
