ITV has addressed rumors about Ben Shephard potentially leaving This Morning. He’s been a key presenter on the show for the past two years, co-hosting with Cat Deeley.
Recent reports in The Sun suggest that Ben’s interviews have become more direct, causing some discomfort among guests and publicists. This approach seems to be a shift from the usual practice of interviewers and guests avoiding personal subjects.
Recently, Ben challenged Stacey Solomon on Loose Women about rumors surrounding her relationship with Joe Swash, specifically asking why she wasn’t wearing her wedding ring.
“Oh, I must have left my ring off,” she said. “I probably took it off when I went to the restroom or something like that.”
Responding to concerns about Ben, an ITV representative told Digital Spy that the issues raised aren’t typical of what they see on This Morning. They confirmed Ben is well-liked by both guests and viewers, and they regularly receive positive comments about him.

So, I was reading that ITV shut down rumors about Ben and Cat being replaced on the show. Apparently, people were saying Tess Daly and Vernon Kay might take over when Ben and Cat’s contracts end, but ITV said that’s not true.
A spokesperson confirmed to DS that Cat, Ben, Alison Hammond, and Dermot O’Leary will continue as the main hosts of This Morning, and there are currently no plans to alter the lineup.
The show is starting 2026 strong, with higher viewership compared to last year and an average of 3.7 million weekly viewers.
Ben recently filled in for Lorraine Kelly on her show while she was recovering from an illness.
He told viewers that Lorraine wasn’t feeling well, but they all hoped she’d get better quickly and were sending her their love.
