Iris Law makes a low-key appearance as she steps out after Chappell Roan was accused of leaving her sister Ada, 11, in tears with heavy-handed security

Iris Law was seen shopping at a Los Angeles farmer’s market on Monday, shortly after singer Chappell Roan was criticized for allegedly upsetting her sister, Ada.

Jude Law’s 25-year-old daughter was casually dressed in grey cropped sweatpants and a brown halter top with cutouts.

The model wore brown ballet flats and carried a khaki handbag while shopping for groceries and flowers at the market.

I’ve been hearing about a bit of a tricky situation with Roan, the singer, and his interaction with a young fan. Apparently, his sister, 11-year-old Ada, spotted him at a hotel and was so excited she walked by his table for a better look. It seems that upset her, and she ended up in tears. Now, Iris, Ada’s sister, has just been out and about, and it’s all happening pretty quickly after that incident.

Roan, whose real name is Kayleigh Rose Amstutz, performed at Lollapalooza in Sao Paulo over the weekend. While in Brazil, she reportedly used her security team to try and intimidate Ada, the daughter she shares with 53-year-old British actor Catherine Harding. This claim was made by Ada’s stepfather, soccer player Jorginho Frello, 34.

Roan responded to Frello’s social media post with an apology video he shared on Instagram Stories on Saturday.

She said the security guard who approached Frello’s family was ‘not my personal security.’

The singer explained that she didn’t request security to approach the mother and child. She said they hadn’t come to her, and weren’t causing any problems.

‘It’s unfair for security to just assume someone doesn’t have good intentions.’

Catherine explained her perspective on Sunday by posting a series of videos to Instagram. She described what she witnessed while having breakfast with her daughter, Ada.

In a recent video, Cat stated that Chappell denied any involvement, claiming it wasn’t her responsibility and she wasn’t the one who did it. Cat confirmed this wasn’t a hotel security guard, explaining that the individual works with the artists.

I’m not sure if he’s her bodyguard, but he was with her, and that’s all I can say. I don’t know if she asked him to do it, and I really hope she didn’t.

As a public figure, you also have a duty to ensure that everyone working for you is representing your values and interests.

Would he act like that without her permission? I’m not sure. If he is, that’s a serious issue, because it means he’s portraying her in a way she doesn’t approve of.

Catherine agreed with Chappell, stating she hadn’t seen anything unusual. She explained that her daughter simply walked quietly past the musician’s table and nothing else happened.

My daughter simply looked at Chappell and smiled; she didn’t even reach for her phone or try to take a picture.

Catherine remembered that a security guard, who she felt was aggressive and intimidating, approached their table and harshly scolded her, claiming she wasn’t parenting effectively.

He told us not to bother people, and I tried to explain to him that she was just a young fan, thrilled to meet someone she admired.

She told him her daughter, whose parents are both well-known figures, knew what behavior was expected of someone in the public spotlight. However, she felt the security guard hadn’t paid attention to her daughter’s needs.

I’m worried Chappell wasn’t aware of this and didn’t ask her security team to intervene. We truly admire her talent; we thought her work was excellent and traveled all the way to São Paulo to see her performance.

It was her birthday, and she asked for tickets to a show. We were supposed to go last night, but didn’t make it, which was a bit of a disappointment, but things happen.

I hope she realizes, and makes sure her employees don’t treat people this way in the future.

Catherine and Jude began dating in 2014 while he was filming a movie in the Czech Republic, and they quickly became close due to their shared interest in music.

Cat Cavelli, who appeared on The Voice in 2015, dated Holiday – who was 41 at the time and is now known for his role in Holiday – when she was 23. However, they split up before their daughter, Ada, was born.

Jude Law is a father to three children: 28-year-old Rafferty, and twins Iris and Rudy, who are 22. He shares these children with actress Sadie Frost, whom he met while filming the 1992 movie Shopping.

The star shares 15-year-old Sophia with model Samantha Burke.

Jude Law and his wife, Phillipa Coan, are parents to two children, born in 2020 and 2023, but their names and details haven’t been released to the public.

Last June, Catherine married former Arsenal player Jorginho in a beautiful wedding ceremony in Italy.

Catherine began dating Jorginho – whose complete name is Jorge Luiz Frello Filho Cavaliere OMRI – in 2020, following his separation from his former wife, Natalia Leteri.

Catherine expressed her gratitude to Lewis Capaldi on Sunday, thanking him for being so kind after he took a photo with her daughter, Ada.

She shared a photo of her child smiling with the Scottish singer after his headlining performance at Lollapalooza 2026 in São Paulo.

Lewis flashed a thumbs-up to the camera, and Catherine joined him for a quick photo. She captioned the picture with a message of gratitude, saying ‘Thanks for your kindness’.

Ever since Roan blew up in 2024, I’ve been so impressed with how she handles everything. She’s not afraid to speak her mind about how awful fame can be, and I love that she refuses to just smile and wave when people overstep. It’s so refreshing to see someone actually set boundaries and not just accept unwanted attention just because they’re famous. Seriously, she’s amazing!

I’ve been a long-time follower, and it’s been a bit of a rollercoaster with the artist and her fanbase. She’s definitely been open about how some fan interactions have made her uncomfortable – she’s called out behavior online that she felt was way too intrusive and honestly, a little creepy. It’s tough to see, but I respect her for setting boundaries and speaking up about it.

In a post on Saturday, she clarified that she doesn’t dislike her fans or children, calling the idea ‘crazy.’ She apologized to a mother and child who were wrongly assumed to be feeling uncomfortable, saying she was saddened if they did feel that way and that they didn’t deserve to be treated that way.

In August 2024, Roan shared a TikTok video stating she wasn’t bothered by the abuse, harassment, or stalking that often comes with being in the public eye, even if only somewhat known.

It’s strange how easily people feel like they know someone just from what they see and hear online. And just to be clear, I have the right to shut down any behavior that makes me uncomfortable.

She then shared a detailed message on Instagram, explaining her desire to continue pursuing art for years to come. She also addressed experiencing unwanted physical and social encounters, stating firmly that women are not obligated to anyone’s expectations or demands.

Honestly, I’ve always been struck by what Roan says about performing. It’s like, for them, the moment they’re on stage, or in drag, or even doing interviews – it’s work. A full-on job. But outside of those moments? They’re completely off-duty. It’s a really clear boundary, and I admire that. They truly clock out of ‘performing’ when they’re not actively doing it.

She explained that if people are still questioning why she pursued a career with potentially unwanted attention, they should know this: she fully accepts the positive results of her work, including the appreciation and joy she feels. However, she will not tolerate harassment, unwanted physical contact, or being stalked.

The up-and-coming performer has become known for frequently complaining, and some fans have jokingly suggested she change her stage name to ‘Chappell Moan’.
