As a huge fan of Invincible, I’ve been thinking about the show’s best episodes, and it’s clear we’ve lost something special. Looking at how each season ranks, it really shows the high quality throughout. Honestly, a lot of us would agree Season 1 is the peak, but you’ll find just as many people who feel Season 3 is where it’s at – it’s that consistently good!
The third season of Invincible wrapped up with two strong episodes, which many fans felt was a step up from season two. Season four started even stronger, with a fantastic three-episode premiere, a good fourth episode, and what many are calling the best episode of the series so far. The heroes of the Coalition of Planets are now united and ready to confront the Viltrumites, hinting at a huge finale to season four.

While Omni-Man arrived in season 1 and Anissa in season 2, Conquest turned out to be the most dangerous enemy Invincible had to face.
Conquest first appeared near the end of Invincible season 3, episode 7, right after the devastating Invincible War. Episode 8 then focused heavily on Conquest, showing Mark and Atom Eve trying to prevent him from causing further destruction on Earth.
Even though Mark believed he’d defeated Conquest in that episode, Cecil secretly kept him alive hoping to learn more about the Viltrum Empire. Conquest eventually escaped, and didn’t reappear until season 4, episode 5, where Invincible proposed another fight between him and Mark.

While Season 1, Episode 8 also has a 9.7/10, Season 3, Episode 7 is ranked higher with almost 10,000 more reviews, making it the third most popular episode overall.
The arrival of Conquest is a pivotal moment in the Invincible story, and fans have known this from the comics – it’s why his first fight with Mark was so anticipated in the show. The second half of season 4 will focus on the Viltrumite War, with the Coalition of Planets finally fighting back. This promises plenty of large-scale battles, potentially as impressive as those we saw in Conquest.
Grand Regent Thragg, the ruler of the Viltrum Empire from Invincible, is almost certain to be a major player in future conflicts. He’s the strongest Viltrumite, making him a formidable and terrifying opponent, much like Conquest was starting in season 3. While Invincible will likely remain strong without Conquest, it will be a challenge to create episodes as impactful as those that focused on the villainous Viltrumite.
