Inside Married At First Sight’s Jacqui Burfoot and Clint Rice’s wedding as couple tie-the-knot in New Zealand: ‘We celebrate hard’

Jacqui Burfoot and Clint Rice, who first met on Married At First Sight, are now married! They wed a year after getting engaged.

The professional golfer, 43, told the Daily Mail that he and his partner recently got married in a luxurious ceremony in New Zealand.

He described the celebrations as incredible, saying they partied a lot and it was difficult to get an invitation.

Jacqui, a 30-year-old originally from New Zealand, and her husband were married at her family’s property, the HawkRidge Honeymooners Chalet, near Lake Hayes.

This beautiful, cozy retreat is in the Otago region of New Zealand’s South Island, near Queenstown. It costs NZ$1,300 for a stay of at least two nights.

Surrounded by beautiful high country and boasting amazing views, the chalet features an open-air hot tub and a wood-burning fire.

Highlights include a stone hearth, romantic bespoke lighting and a king-size bed.

There’s also a heat pump, air conditioning, and an outdoor BBQ space.

Other features include easy access to the snow fields of Coronet and Cardrona.

This news follows Jacqui’s announcement earlier this month that she was temporarily pausing her jewelry business as she prepared for her wedding.

“F*** it, we’re getting married,’ she said on Instagram.

We’re currently out of office and won’t be responding to emails or direct messages. We’ll be completely unavailable for a while.

‘See you all soon when I’m Mrs Jacqueline Lee Rice. ‘

The former Married at First Sight contestant, known as a ‘villain’ by some viewers, announced that her jewelry business, Jacqueline Lee Jewellery, would reopen on April 25th.

I was so thrilled to hear that Jacqui and Clint, who met on that Channel Nine show, reached their one-year anniversary in December 2025! It’s wonderful to see their relationship thriving after finding love on the experiment.

Jacqui shared a photo on Instagram celebrating one year with her partner, recalling it was taken just a few days after they started dating on November 15th, 2024.

In a recent honest post, the reality star directly responded to people who questioned whether their relationship was real.

She reported that others – including envious colleagues looking for publicity – dismissed their relationship as a fabrication, a publicity stunt that wouldn’t last, or a calculated attempt to gain attention.

It’s been a year since today’s date. Please submit any apologies in writing, as your three-month prediction proved inaccurate and reflected poorly on your trustworthiness.

She strongly responded to her critics, saying, ‘And seriously, don’t ever assume or impose your own limitations or opinions on me or Clint.’

People started talking about the couple after their chemistry on screen surprised those around them, who initially doubted their connection.

Even though their relationship caused some drama, the two stayed together after filming ended, and they’re now considered one of the few successful couples to come from the show.

Jacqui initially paired with Ryan Donnelly, age 37, on the 2025 season of Married at First Sight, but ultimately left the show with another participant, Clint.
