Injective Launches Mint to Power Compliant Tokenized Assets

Injective has introduced Mint, a new platform that allows institutions and AI programs to quickly and legally create digital representations of stocks, bonds, and ETFs directly on the blockchain.

Injective has launched Mint, a new platform that makes it easy for institutions to bring real-world assets onto the blockchain as tokens. Mint streamlines everything – from ensuring regulatory compliance to securely storing assets and managing who has access – all in one place.

Creating new digital assets is now much simpler thanks to Injective. They’ve eliminated the need for complicated setups, allowing individuals, organizations, and even AI programs to easily create assets that meet regulatory requirements. A limited, early-access version of the platform is available starting today.

Injective Mint Simplifies Institutional Asset Issuance

Injective created Mint to simplify how tokens representing real-world assets are issued, addressing inefficiencies that were hindering growth in this area.

Before Mint, getting an asset onto a blockchain required a lot of separate work – things like building smart contracts, ensuring compliance, arranging secure storage, and finding ways to trade it. Mint simplifies this by combining all those steps into one platform.

Through the platform, issuers can easily choose where to launch their project, define the total supply of tokens, and provide their company information. They can also select a custodian to securely manage their assets, with Fireblocks and BitGo currently available as partners.

Once those steps are complete, an asset can go live onchain within minutes, according to Injective.

Injective has already handled over $6.8 billion worth of real-world assets. The creation of assets directly on the network has surpassed $1.1 billion, making Injective a leading blockchain for tokenized assets.

We’re excited to announce Injective Mint, a streamlined platform that makes it easy for institutions to create and manage official, digital versions of real-world assets – all while staying compliant with regulations.

Now, anyone – from individuals to organizations and AI programs – can easily create and manage digital assets that follow the rules, directly on the blockchain.

Built-In Compliance Rules Set Mint Apart

Mint allows every digital asset created on its platform to have custom rules built right into the blockchain itself – no extra code needed. This means creators can decide exactly who can own and trade their assets, manage how new assets are released and old ones taken back, and give different people specific permissions.

Injective allows administrators to temporarily freeze a wallet address or stop trading of an asset if necessary. This gives those issuing the assets control similar to what’s found in traditional financial systems, but still keeps everything recorded on the blockchain.

Mint allows you to do more than just create new digital assets. These assets can be used throughout the Injective platform for things like trading, borrowing, providing collateral, and participating in futures markets – and they’ll always follow the rules established by their creator.

Regulatory Filings Support Injective’s Tokenization Push

Injective has applied for registration as a transfer agent with the SEC in the United States.

The company released a report on MiCA, detailing its work in Europe. These documents aim to allow Injective to legally offer more real-world assets in both the U.S. and the European Union.

As a crypto investor, I was really impressed to see Injective tokenize SPDR Gold Shares – that’s a hugely popular gold ETF – right there on their platform during a live demo. It showed me firsthand what Mint is capable of.

The demonstration covered everything from inputting asset information and choosing a location, to establishing details about the issuer and linking a custodian.

As an analyst, I’ve been tracking Injective’s strategy, and it’s clear they’re positioning ‘Mint’ as a key component of a much larger vision. They aren’t just building a single feature; they’re developing a comprehensive ecosystem that includes perpetual trading, more automated and intelligent financial tools – what they call ‘agentic finance’ – and the tokenization of various assets. It’s a holistic approach to DeFi.

The company explained that these features will allow users, organizations, and AI programs to create, exchange, and transfer value directly on the blockchain, using $INJ as the foundational technology.
