Jimmy Bullard, who appeared on ‘I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!’, is reportedly considering a lawsuit against ITV. Sources say he used the show’s eventful finale to collect information for his potential legal case.
The 47-year-old former footballer got into a heated argument with Adam Thomas, 37, who ultimately won the show. He accused Thomas of being ‘abusive, aggressive, and intimidating‘ during a profanity-laced fight that was filmed last year. The footballer claims show producers edited the footage to favor the soap star.
During Friday’s live finale, people noticed Jimmy looking at his phone. A source said he might have been checking notes and even recording the event as evidence to support his arguments.
For Jimmy’s lawsuit against ITV to succeed, he needs to demonstrate that Adam’s actions were abusive, aggressive, and intimidating, as this would violate their contract.
Jimmy repeatedly – nine times, in fact – described Adam as ‘abusive, aggressive, and intimidating.’ This exact phrase is reportedly included in the celebrity’s contracts to define behavior that isn’t allowed.
Jimmy not only repeated the comment, but he also showed clips of other contestants agreeing that Adam had gone too far.
According to a source, he pulled out his phone to look at notes, and people wondered if he was also secretly recording conversations between the cast members. Those familiar with the situation believe his behavior suggests he’s gathering evidence, and the network is preparing for potential consequences, especially considering how much he dominated the conversation.
Daily Mail have contacted Jimmy’s representative and ITV for comment.
This follows Sinitta’s support of fellow contestants Jimmy and David Haye, as she recently posted about her time on I’m A Celebrity South Africa.
Adam, 37, won the competition and then spoke with Jimmy after a heated argument. Earlier, Adam reportedly used a highly offensive term towards Jimmy during a challenge on ‘I’m a Celebrity,’ which almost led to Adam being eliminated from the show.
Things got very tense during the live final when Jimmy asked each contestant whether Adam had been aggressive or abusive. The questioning became so intense that Gemma Collins and Sinitta walked off stage.
Sinitta recently released a statement acknowledging that calling someone a ‘bully’ is a serious claim. However, she also expressed her happiness that Adam ultimately won.
In a recent post, she expressed her disappointment that everyone didn’t get a fair opportunity to share their thoughts last night. She felt the discussion became rushed and chaotic, with people interrupting each other. Before leaving, she simply wanted to say:
It upsets me that people are calling each other names and that we’re all feeling hurt. I really enjoyed my time with everyone, even though one thing was tough, and I hope we can all remember the good times and what we learned. I care about them all very much.
Calling someone a ‘bully’ is a really serious claim, and I don’t think it should be said casually. There’s enough negativity in the world already, and it’s harmful to wrongly label someone as a bad person.
I appreciated Adam’s apology – it showed maturity. It’s easy to misinterpret friendships and playful teasing if you’re not involved, so I just ask people to consider all perspectives.
I want to be clear: I don’t bully anyone. Lately, I’ve been getting a lot of harsh and abusive messages online. I get that people are enthusiastic about the show and want to support who they like, and I respect that, but there’s no excuse for swearing at me or using insults. I would never do that to anyone else.
Just because you call me ‘Grandma’ doesn’t mean it’s okay to be disrespectful. Would you talk to your actual grandmother like that? Remember to be kind and show respect online. Social media shouldn’t be a place for finding people to attack and encouraging others to join in.
She shared that being on the show was an incredible, life-changing experience. She also mentioned that starting out in the industry was very different, as social media didn’t exist like it does now, and this aspect of the experience had been a surprise.
People have called me names – said I lack talent, aren’t attractive, am desperate, or no longer relevant – but I don’t believe those things are true, and honestly, saying things like that is a form of bullying. I just ask that you watch my videos remembering they reflect my thoughts and feelings from when I first made them. It’s natural to change your mind after seeing the show, but my core beliefs remain the same.
I care about everyone involved, and I’m grateful for all the enthusiasm and support. Our journey is over now. We made it through the challenges of the African jungle, and Adam Thomas is our new leader. I genuinely wish him the best, as I always have.
‘I’m just learning how to cope with this side of things. S x.’
