“I sobbed”: The “audience will be a mess” at Call the Midwife’s emotional finale, says Helen George

Okay, so I just heard from Helen George, who plays a midwife on the show, and she’s saying the season 15 finale is going to be rough. Apparently, it’s a real tearjerker and we’re all going to be emotionally wrecked after watching it. Seriously, she’s warning us to prepare ourselves!

The last episode of season 15, airing on March 8th, will explore what happens to the nurses and midwives of Nonnatus House if the building is forced to close, and where they might go next.

George, the star of Trixie, said a scene paying tribute to the show’s characters made her cry uncontrollably.

A movie set in 1972 and a new series set during World War II, showing the younger days of familiar characters, are both in the works. The new series will now take the place of the previously planned Christmas special scheduled for 2026.
