On the occasion of his birthday celebration last week, the actor known for playing The Wolverine seemed lively, despite recent worries among his loved ones due to his divorce from Deborra Lee-Furness. He was spotted carrying a spacious eco-friendly shopping bag and holding his phone in one hand.

He also wore wireless earphones during his grocery shopping trip.

His outing comes shortly after he celebrated his 56th birthday on October 12. 

Two days later, he took to Instagram to share his gratitude for the birthday wishes. 

He extended his ‘love’ to his family, friends and fans following a turbulent year. 

He expressed thanks for the fantastic birthday wishes, noting his gratitude, as he posted the hashtag ‘#thisis56’ and a picture showing him blowing out candles on his birthday cake.

Ever since my beloved idol parted ways with his wife, Furness, last year following almost three decades together, I’ve found myself on edge, just like those close to him.
