HoYoverse’s highly anticipated fantasy MMORPG is generating buzz again. Recent trademark filings for “Nodusfall” and “Vassago” have appeared, both connected to Anuttacon Pte. Ltd., a company associated with HoYoverse. This suggests further development and potential branding for the game.

This project was first announced in November 2025 with a brief teaser from HoYoverse. The teaser showed a dark, realistic fantasy world created using Unreal Engine 5. While it didn’t reveal many details, the overall mood and the visuals were promising.

Cognosphere recently trademarked the name “Nodusfall” on April 29, 2026, suggesting a more defined project is in development, though details haven’t been officially announced. Around the same time, HoYoverse also created social media accounts on Twitter and Bilibili using the name “Nodusfall.”

Vassago’s name comes from demonology, specifically a book called Ars Goetia, as pointed out on Reddit. The trademark for it is held by Anuttacon, the company founded by Cai Haoyu, who also runs HoYoverse. It’s unclear how this relates to the game currently, but the development process is definitely intriguing.

Currently, HoYoverse has several projects in development. Varsapura is one of the upcoming games they’ve announced, joining the existing pipeline. Next up is Petit Planet, a life simulation game, alongside Honkai: Nexus Anima. There’s also talk of a new MOBA game, and HoYoLand is potentially being considered as a theme park.

It’s also important to remember that these names – Nodusfall and Vassago – aren’t confirmed as the final title yet. HoYoverse often explores several options internally before making a final decision, so we’ll have to wait and see what they announce.
