How to unlock characters in Elden Ring Nightreign. Duchess and Revenant are waiting
Following several months of excited build-up, enthusiasts of the soulslike genre now have the chance to delve into the newest game from FromSoftware studio – Elden Ring, titled Nightreign. What makes this game particularly intriguing for fans of the genre is its emphasis on a multiplayer experience. Instead of crafting our own character, we will be choosing from pre-defined classes, with eight options to choose from initially. However, not all of these classes will be accessible immediately; Duchess and Revenant will remain locked at the outset. Fear not, as we’ll guide you on how to unlock them.
How to unlock Duchess in Elden Ring Nightreign
The Duchess character excels in maneuverability and stealth. She can conceal her entire team to slip away unnoticed from potentially hazardous locations, or sneak attack unsuspecting adversaries from behind. This role is perfect for players who thrive on high-speed action gameplay.
To free the Duchess, you’ll need to locate a specific artifact known as the “Old Pocketwatch”. If you’re unsure about how to obtain it, let me put your mind at ease – all you need to do is overcome one of the initial Night Lords, specifically Gladius, the Beast of the Night. You can find this encounter in the Tricephalos Expedition. Keep in mind that this combat is unavoidable as it’s the only map accessible at the start of the game.
After overcoming the boss, head back to the Roundtable Hold for a chat with the Priestess. In her presence, you’ll find an option to “display the old pocketwatch“. Performing this action will make the Duchess available for future adventures.
How to unlock Revenant in Elden Ring Nightreign
In simpler terms, “The Revenant,” the latest character unveiled, isn’t accessible immediately. This character specializes in summoning other entities. However, unlocking this figure requires a more extended process; you’ll initially need to acquire the Duchess.
First, gather 1500 Murk and purchase an item called Besmirched Frame at the Small Jar Bazaar. This action will draw your attention to a spectral woman resembling a ghost in the Roundtable Hold. Engage or speak with her next.
In the arena of the “Night Idol” boss, you’ll find yourself battling not just the Revenant, but also her summoned forces as well. Overcome her, and you’ll gain the ability to use this new class in upcoming journeys.
