How To Recruit Every NPC To The Crevice In The First Berserker: Khazan
After successfully finishing the second task in “The First Berserker: Khazan“, you’ll gain entry to The Crevice. This serves as your main base, where you’ll find the Non-Player Characters (NPCs) you encounter during your journey, along with a variety of amenities that cater to all your needs.
As you advance, The Crevice expands. Several inhabitants have side quests connected to them, and certain essential facilities can only become accessible upon their completion. We’ll fill you in on all the details about your temporary abode in the realm of The First Berserker.
The Two Halves Of The Crevice
Once you’ve conquered the Forgotten Temple level in our game, a massive portal emerges smack-dab in The Crevice. This magical gateway shuttles you between the Mortal Realm and the mystical Netherworld. Your living allies that I’ve enlisted will dwell in the Mortal Realm, while Charon’s associates can be found in the shadowy Netherworld counterpart. As our adventure unfolds, new sections of The Crevice will become accessible, each with unique areas that might look familiar but aren’t identical twins.

Oksana

Kaleido | Traitor Revealed |
Human Xilence | Veiled Knives |
Oksana will be the initial character you’ll get for the game, the Crevice. She’ll greet you straight after finishing the Trials Of The Frozen Mountain mission, along with the Blade Phantom. Initially, when you obtain her, she can help convert your excess gear into Lacrima. But once you complete the Kaleido side-mission, you’ll gain the capacity to enhance your equipment, not only by leveling them up, but also by modifying their attributes.
To elevate an item’s rank, you’ll require another item of the same kind that is currently at a higher level. The modification of additional features is accomplished by spending Lacrima. Each attribute re-roll will incrementally raise the price for the next re-roll. You can reset the re-roll cost by utilizing the Wisdom Shard item.
Notably, Oksana is the only NPC who will appear in both versions of The Crevice.

Jar Enthusiasts | First Act Of Revenge |
After finishing the Forgotten Temple mission, Duimuk establishes his shop in The Crevice’s Realm of the Living area. There, he offers you various items and equipment. Among them, you can always find a Tear Summon Stone for purchase, as well as a rotating assortment of equipment pieces related to different sets.
You can purchase generic equipment to sacrifice for equipment upgrades with Oksana.
In addition to being the starting point for the Jar Enthusiasts side quest, this interaction with Duimuk will assist you in gaining another citizen for The Crevice: Danjin. Once you’ve finished the First Act of the Revenge mission, you can converse with him to achieve this.
Daphrona

Forgotten Temple |
After finishing the mission at the Forgotten Temple, Daphrona will join forces with Duimuk. She’ll offer a variety of helpful services: she can set up sparring matches against any foes you’ve encountered, help you enhance your Spirit of Advocacy, and she has the ability to release Soulstones. These Soulstones, which you acquire from shattered ones during missions, can boost your Lacrima acquisition or health recovery capacity.
Making the decision between boosting your health recovery or acquiring more Lacrima is an irrevocable, two-option selection. Given that Lacrima is plentiful, I’d strongly advise you to prioritize the health recovery option for a better overall gameplay experience.
Danjin

Jar Enthusiasts |
After finishing the mission for the Jar Enthusiasts group, Danjin will team up with you in The Crevice. He operates a store that’s connected to Jarlings, and the more of these places you discover, the more items you can buy from him. His inventory mainly includes headgear related to jars, which boost your core attributes. Furthermore, Danjin offers lanterns for sale as well. Among them, the Grave-Robbers Lantern stands out, as it signals when you’re close to hidden treasures.
Ultimately, Dan Jin offers unique crafting resources for creating equipment sets that are hard to find elsewhere. These materials can’t be obtained easily except by fighting bosses repeatedly. As your missions advance, the resources will adjust accordingly.

To get hold of Qazumaka, you must finish the Strange Stench mission. Yet, upon getting Qazumaka, you won’t be able to use it right away. Instead, you need to complete the Blacksmith’s Heirloom side quest first. Luckily, this additional mission will become accessible as soon as you acquire Qazumaka. Simply talk to him to start it.
Similar to Oksana, Qazumaka has the ability to dismantle gear. Unlike her, who transforms it into Lacrima, he takes it apart into crafting materials. These materials can then be utilized to construct new equipment. All freshly-made equipment will match your current level. The skills associated with these items are randomly assigned. Should you possess the required scrolls, you’ll also be able to create sets.

Similar to Oksana, Qazumaka possesses the ability to dismantle equipment. Unlike Oksana, who transforms it into Lacrima, Qazumaka breaks it down into crafting materials that can be utilized for constructing new gear. The newly constructed gear will correspond to your current level, and the skills associated with these items will be randomly assigned. With the right scrolls, you’ll even have the opportunity to build sets.
