How to get Nightflower Pollen – Monster Hunter Wilds
In Monster Hunter Wilds, collecting Nightflower Pollen is one of the hardest items to obtain and can only be found when certain environmental conditions are met. To check if these conditions are active, look up at the night sky to determine the moon phase, then adjust your game time by resting accordingly, or simply repeat The Desert Knows Not The Sea quest as many times as necessary to secure the pollen.
Our guide on Monster Hunter Wilds Nightflower Pollen reveals the location of this hard-to-find item and provides tips on creating the optimal environment for harvesting it.
Monster Hunter Wilds: Nightflower Pollen location
Nightbloom Pollen originates from Ephemeral Blooms in the Windward Plains and Crimson Woods, however, it only becomes available under the soft glow of a full moon. Unfortunately, the Wilds doesn’t have an in-game moon phase tracker, so there won’t be any information about it in your map’s environmental overview. To find this elusive pollen, you must patiently wait for nightfall and venture outside to observe the lunar cycle yourself. Each in-game night brings a new phase, and when only one side of the moon is illuminated but not the whole sphere, you can expect a full moon the following night.
Take a break until the following evening and remember to save your progress. If you happen to be in Windward Plains, it would be beneficial for you to head towards Area 14 or Area 17. In the Scarlet Forest, Ephemeral Blossoms can be found in Area 10 and Area 3. To reach Area 3, you’ll need to glide using your Seikret. Each location holds a single Ephemeral Blossom, and once you locate one, you can use the icon tracker on your map to find other Ephemeral Blossom locations.
After the moon becomes visible, it’s time for the Temporary Flowers to blossom, but this might not occur instantly. If they don’t, just give it a moment or two before the pollen appears, ready for you to gather.
If the flower refuses to blossom, you might want to attempt a few adjustments. First, close and reopen the game, then wait patiently till the full moon rises. If this doesn’t help, try waiting until evening on the day of the full moon instead of waking up during the night.
Monster Hunter Wilds: How to farm Nightflower Pollen
Every time you pause your game or embark on a new adventure, the surroundings will be refreshed, enabling you to gather Nightflower Pollen anew under a full moon. Obtaining items through the spending of 1,800 Guild Points is not particularly efficient, but you can engage in the The Desert Knows Not The Sea quest once you’ve vanquished a high-rank Balahara. Keep in mind that this particular quest won’t become accessible until you manage to slay or capture a high-rank Balahara first.
