How to get legendary weapons in Elden Ring Nightreign

It’s not unexpected, but the Elden Ring Nightreign is exceptionally tough. Bosses can easily defeat you in the span of a second, and the consequence of death – losing an entire level – is quite severe. Even with allies by your side, you’ll face significant challenges when battling Nightreign’s bosses. To enhance your chances of victory, however, you might want to obtain legendary weapons.

Distinguished by a golden backdrop, extraordinary equipment stands out as the top tier, boasting superior base stats, the utmost number of passive abilities, and frequently exceptional Art talents. It’s worth noting that item passives are constantly active, regardless of whether the weapon is currently equipped or not. Not surprisingly, legendary weapons are also the most elusive to find, particularly if you’re unsure where to search.

How to get legendary weapons in Elden Ring Nightreign

In most cases, you can acquire legendary weapons as random rewards from various sources. However, your chances of obtaining one significantly increase when facing bosses. Particularly noteworthy are the roaming world bosses, or “Great enemies,” as they’re called within the game. Additionally, bosses during Shifting Earth events can also be a lucrative source; my team managed to secure multiple legendaries from the Fallingstar Beast in The Crater.

In the Shifting Earth: The Crater event, you have the option to enhance any weapon to its top-tier, legendary quality using a Special Smithing Table. However, it’s important to note that these aren’t one-of-a-kind, custom items; they are instead the best versions of regular weapons available.

On the second day, keep an eye out for bosses indicated by a foreboding dragon head symbol on your map. Defeating these formidable foes will reward you generously with runes and increase the likelihood of obtaining superior-quality items, including legendary weapons. Since there are numerous bosses scattered across the map, you can defeat them in quick succession without excessive travel, but be cautious as they pose a significant challenge.

During Shifting Earth occurrences, it’s the ideal spot to uncover mythical weapons while playing, but it’s not certain that these items will appear. These events typically last just a few rounds (whether you emerge victorious or not). However, there might be another team member currently experiencing one, allowing you to join and benefit as well. Due to the high concentration of bosses within a compact space, they’re perfect for obtaining legendary weapon drops.

All legendary weapons in Elden Ring Nightreign

In Elden Ring Nightreign, there are 26 distinct, legendary weapons that are presented here. Regular weapons, however, should be noted. These can be enhanced to reach legendary status, but they are not unique, handmade artifacts.

It’s quite clear that there won’t be any well-known shields, emblems, or ranged weapons in particular. However, remember that weapon abilities are constantly active, regardless of whether they’re in your inventory. While legendary effects function differently, they only activate when the weapon is held, but being in your secondary hand is sufficient too, so characters relying on ranged combat still have a variety of effective choices.
