How To Get Frenzy Shards And Crystals In Monster Hunter Wilds
To ensure that the final stages of Monster Hunter Wilds are more manageable, it would be beneficial to spend time gathering higher-tier materials. This could involve obtaining Frenzy Shards and Frenzy Crystals. These resources can significantly boost your gameplay by rewarding you with sturdy armor sets and powerful weapons.
As a dedicated gamer, I can confidently say that tracking down those coveted Frenzy Shards and Crystals isn’t necessarily a breeze, but it’s certainly not an insurmountable task once you know where to direct your search. These High Rank materials demand battles against some of the game’s most formidable adversaries, making them quite the prize for those who dare to take on these tougher challenges.
Where To Find Frenzy Shards
The best method to explain how to obtain drops in Monster Hunter Wilds is by stating that you can do so by simply defeating or killing the Frenzied Monsters.
To make these characters appear, it’s essential that you have already conquered the storyline of Monster Hunter Wilds. This is primarily because you must be engaged in High-Rank missions, which become accessible following Chapter 4. Additionally, you need to have completed the “Lurking in the Shadows” missions, as these introduce Frenzied Monsters and guide you on how to manage them effectively.
After you’ve completed the aforementioned quest, Frenzied Monsters will appear at a higher rate.
To kick off your hunt for Frenzy Shards, set out towards the towering Iceshard Cliffs first. The more frenzied creatures who might drop these shards tend to appear more frequently in this region.

As a fan, I’d always make sure to gear up properly before going up against those Frenzied creatures. Unlike regular foes, these Frenzied variants are significantly tougher and more lethal, making them challenging adversaries that require extra caution and preparation.
Ensure you have an ample supply of Antiviral Medications at hand, as they can slow down and prevent the virus from affecting you, whether you’re a Hunter or a monster.
In combat, strive to weaken or injure the beast. This will help boost the production of Frenzy Shards.
Should you be struggling to locate Frenzied Monsters, consider taking up the optional quest named “Aberrant Atrocity” provided by Alma at the base camp. Your task here will involve slaying a Frenzied Monster.
Where To Find Frenzy Crystals

Unlike fragments, acquiring a specific resource is more like a targeted quest – it appears as if there’s only one method for securing these assets.
In the Iceshard Cliffs, during the main story quest titled “Shrouded in Black,” which is found in the second half of Chapter 5, you’ll notice that Frenzy Crystals reappear at a specific location. This occurrence happens exclusively when you engage in combat with Gore Magala.
During your initial battle with Gore Magala, overcoming it will open up an additional mission known as “Misty Depths” – a chance for you to gather plenty of Frenzy Crystals.
Just head back to Alma and repeat the fight.

In order to obtain the crystals, the same guidelines hold true. You need to engage in battle with the Elder Dragon and aim for any injuries that may occur.
Fighting the Gore Magala will not only reward you with Crystals but also Frenzy Shards. By focusing solely on the dragon instead of engaging other Frenzied Monsters, you’ll effectively be reducing your tasks in half.
What Frenzy Shards And Frenzy Crystals Can Craft

When you have enough Frenzy Shards, you can craft certain high-end armor such as:
- Artian Alpha Set
- Damacsuc Alpha Set
- Gore Beta Set
- Gore Alpha Set
On top of armor, you can craft high-end weapons as well.
Making equipment using Frenzy Shards will result in high-quality Level 7 items. To obtain even more powerful equipment (Level 8), utilize Frenzy Crystals once you’ve unlocked the lower tier.
