How to get Dragonscale Vase – Monster Hunter Wilds

The Dragonscale Vase from Monster Hunter Wilds, being a vital component in a series of trades, leads to obtaining scarce armor sets and stylish accessories for your Palico companion. Given its tier-five rarity, it’s not unexpected that tracking down the Dragonscale Vase can be challenging, often requiring repeated hunts at the same locations before success is achieved.

In our Monster Hunter Wilds Dragonscale Vase walkthrough, we show you the location of the vase and provide instructions on how to use it after obtaining it.

Monster Hunter Wilds: Dragonscale Vase location

You could stumble upon the elusive Dragonscale Vase when you gather Ancient Relic resources in the Iceshard Cliffs. This area contains multiple such items, all located on the mid-map, specifically regions 11 through 20. A group of them is situated near the Area 20 campsite’s periphery, making it an ideal location for camping if you’re aiming to collect numerous Dragonscale Vases.

In most cases, digging up Ancient Relics will likely result in finding a Wyvernscale Vase more frequently. However, after searching through five relics without success, I managed to find just one Dragonscale Vase. To increase your chances of finding the Wyvernscale Vase again, you might want to refresh the environment by taking on a quest from Alma or by traveling to another location and returning to the Iceshard Cliffs.

Before you embark, ensure that you have an item imbued with the skill of a Geologist. When you gather resources like Gracium or other mining spots, you will receive twice as many items per harvest instead of just one.

Using Apar’s material retrieval method starting from chapter four onwards, there’s only a slim possibility that the Dragonscale Vase could be the outcome.

What is Dragonscale Vase for in Monster Hunter Wilds?

The primary function of a Dragonscale Vase, other than selling it, is exchanging it with Sekka in Suja village as a trading item. In exchange for one Dragonscale Vase, Sekka offers Fluffy Egg, Nerscylla Spike+, and Suja Textiles. You need Suja Textiles for a late-game crafting recipe, and trading with Sekka is the most convenient way to acquire them. However, Sekka’s trade items change daily in the game, so you may have to wait for her to offer Suja Textiles.
