How to Get All KCD2 Secret Endings

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 has multiple endings determined by the choices you make, especially during the final quest, Judgement Day. Beyond these main endings, there are also hidden endings in KCD2 that players can unlock by completing quests in unique and surprising ways, altering the course of history.

Sometimes, the game shows a special ending, but players need to load their last saved game to continue playing. Also, certain unusual ways Henry can die in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 can feel like different ways the story could end.

Be warned: this article reveals major plot points from the main story, side quests, and downloadable content of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. It contains significant spoilers.

Henry’s Story Can End On The Gallows

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 features a unique game over mechanic tied to its crime and punishment system. If Henry commits a small offense, he’ll be publicly shamed in the stocks. Repeat offenses lead to a caning. But committing serious crimes, like murder, will result in Henry being branded as a criminal and ostracized from society.

Okay, so if I get caught being a criminal again – like, seriously, they catch me red-handed – there’s a cutscene where Henry gets hanged. And that’s game over, man. No second chances!

Don’t Make Gunpowder While Drunk

In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, Henry can craft gunpowder as part of the game’s alchemy system. He can use it to create different types of ammunition, like lead shot or scattershot, by gathering ingredients such as sulfur and saltpeter.

Trying to make gunpowder while intoxicated is extremely dangerous, and can result in Henry being blown up. This rare occurrence has a special sound effect, death screen, and unlocks an Achievement or Trophy.

The Assassination Of King Sigismund

In the King’s Gambit quest, Henry begins by assisting the Kuttenberg council and King Sigismund with tasks like serving wine and running errands. The main goal is to gather information about the king. However, players have the option to kill Sigismund if they conceal a knife before the quest begins and then retrieve it while completing a task for a council member.

This assassination even has its own special animation, and players who successfully commit regicide will receive a specific message.

It’s over. You succeeded in killing King Sigismund, but his guards quickly killed you in return. With Sigismund gone, King Wenceslas regained control of Bohemia, Jan Hus wasn’t executed, and the Hussite Wars never happened.

Like most hidden endings, players need to load an earlier save file and finish the mission the way it’s meant to be played. Changing events so drastically – like Henry dying – prevents the game from continuing.

Okay, so I was trying to get that super hidden Sigismund ending, and this guide totally breaks down how to do it. It’s pretty intense! And get this – if you mess up the quest, you don’t just fail, you get a special game over screen. It’s kinda cool, but you definitely want to avoid seeing it!

The game has ended. Your cover was blown at court – you were discovered as a spy and put to death the following day.

Take Out Sigismund’s Army During The Lion’s Den Quest

During the main quest “Lion’s Den,” Henry goes undercover in Sigismund’s camp to prepare an ambush against his troops. He can also take on optional side quests and even pretend to join Sigismund’s army, allowing him to sleep within the camp itself.

During this period, players can attempt to eliminate as many of Sigismund’s soldiers as possible, potentially through methods like poisoning their food and drink or killing them while they sleep. If Henry defeats enough of Sigismund’s troops, players will unlock a special, hidden victory screen displaying a message.

And so your adventure ends… You’ve altered the course of history! Sigismund’s army was defeated, forcing him to return to Hungary in shame. King Wenceslas officially recognized you as the true heir to Sir Radzig, and you enjoyed a peaceful life until 1416. That year, you and your father journeyed to Kuttenberg together.

Because this army is important to the story, players will need to go back to a previous save point to keep playing.

Henry Solo-Handedly Lifts The Siege Of Suchdol

Near the end of the game, during the Reckoning quest, Henry and Samuel need to quietly leave Suchdol and find a horse in Markvart von Aulitz’s camp so they can deliver an important message.

Unfortunately, things don’t go as planned. Many players will likely try to sneak through the camp while attempting to rescue Samuel. However, eliminating some of the guards can also be helpful and improve the outcome for Henry’s friends who are imprisoned in the castle.

Okay, so I just found out something really cool! If you manage to completely destroy the Praguers’ camp – like, everyone – the game actually gives you a special message. It’s a neat little reward for going all-in, apparently!

An incredible stroke of luck! It seems divine intervention guided your weapon, resulting in the complete defeat of the Praguers’ camp – not a single enemy survived. However, there’s no time for celebration! Your friends and the silver are still at risk. Mount your horse and ride quickly to their aid!

Best of all, this isn’t counted as a game over, and players can continue with their save.

The Secret Theresa Ending

Players of the original game will recall Theresa as Henry’s main romantic partner. Sadly, she doesn’t join him when he travels to Trosky and Kuttenberg. Still, characters might ask Henry about her during conversations about his past relationships.

If Henry mentions Theresa as his partner early in the game and frequently talks about her, you might unlock a special ending where he returns to her after completing the Judgement Day quest and talking to his parents. This ending will show Henry back in Rattay, visiting Theresa at her uncle’s mill.

The requirements for this ending are:

  • Declare Theresa as your sweetheart at the start of the game in conversation around the campfire.
  • Don’t fully romance Hans, Katherine, or Rosa.
  • Have a positive Reputation.
  • Choose the ‘settle down and start a family’ option at the end.
  • Then, finally, choose Theresa.

Henry Gets Thrown Out Of The Monastery

When Henry visits Sedletz Monastery for the KCD2: Mysteria Ecclesiae DLC, he needs to be careful and well-behaved, particularly when sickness goes around and the monastery is put on lockdown.

If a guard finds him outside the infirmary, he can ask to go back. However, if he angers the guards and is sent to the abbot again, he’ll be banished from the Monastery, ending the game. The specific message the player receives changes depending on their progress, but it always implies that things are getting worse at the Monastery, and that Henry’s actions are unintentionally causing deaths.

Death By Crayfish

Okay, so in the Mysteria Ecclesiae DLC, there’s this quest called Our Daily Bread where you have to catch crayfish. It sounds easy, right? But those little critters can actually pinch Henry with their claws, and it does a little bit of damage. I learned the hard way that if you’re already super low on health when you’re trying to fish them up, you can actually die! And the game… well, it’s a bit cheeky about it. You get this sarcastic message when it happens, which is honestly pretty funny, even if it’s frustrating.

Game over! You’re among the rare few who’ve been defeated by a crayfish pinch. Congratulations… sort of.

Doing so will also reward players with the Ostraconophobia Achievement/Trophy for KCD2.
