How to cure Vampirism – Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered

In Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered, embracing vampirism offers an exciting twist to gameplay, granting access to unique skills and a captivating role-playing experience. However, it’s essential to remember that this isn’t a lifestyle choice you’d want in real life. If you find yourself engaged in constant battles with the menacing undead vampires and wish to avoid their fate, you must act swiftly, though not as quickly as dodging a fang-baring attack!

How to cure Vampirism – Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered

In my own words, if I were unfortunate enough to acquire Porphyric Hemophilia during a battle with a vampire, I would only have 72 hours to find a cure, or else I’d transform into a vampire myself. After the full 3 days pass, it will activate during the next sleep. To prevent this transformation, I must perform one of these actions before then:

  • Cast the “Cure Disease” Spell – there are numerous vendors you can get this spell from, such as Avrus Adas at the Great Chapel of Zenithar in Leyawin, Isa Raman at the Great Chapel of Talos in Bruma, and many more. It should cost 140 gold, no matter where you get it.
  • Eat food with the “Cure Disease” primary effect – this includes Mandrake Root, Root Pulp, and Shepherd’s Pie.
  • Use your Alchemy skills to make a potion to cure disease, although this is essentially just a bad use of the ingredients in question.
  • Pray at a Chapel

If you’ve become fully transformed as a Vampire after some time has passed, you’ll have to complete a mission titled “Vampire Cure.” To initiate this quest, simply find Raminus Polus at the Arcane University, south of the Imperial City. He’s usually hanging out in the lobby. Strike up a conversation with him, and he’ll provide you with instructions for your journey, which may involve several steps to complete.

It’s highly advisable to address the issue of Prophyric Hemophilia well within the first 72 hours, as delaying treatment could prolong the struggle with an excessive craving for blood.

I’ll be sticking with Shacknews, your go-to source for everything related to Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered. We’ve got the latest news and guides to help you navigate this iconic game like a pro!
