How to change character skins in Elden Ring Nightreign
In Elden Ring Nightreign, the method for personalizing your character or class has undergone a slight change compared to the previous system. Now, instead of the traditional customization options, you can acquire various skins within the game itself.
As a gaming enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that each “Nightfarer” class now comes with defensive stats, so you and your companions no longer need to solely concentrate on armor during gameplay. However, don’t be mistaken – the designs of your characters won’t be set in stone throughout your adventure. Once you’ve unlocked skins, you’ll have the freedom to customize and equip them with a character that appeals to you most.
Since the first step is to unlock the skins, we will begin from there.
How to unlock character skins in Elden Ring Nightreign
To use and access the new skins, you’ll need to put in some effort by overcoming a couple of Nightlords initially. Everyone starts with defeating Gladius, which is the only Nightlord to conquer at the beginning. The rest of the Nightlords will be temporarily inaccessible, except for Gladius, making it obvious that he is your primary target first.
After conquering Gladius, it opens up the chance for me to pursue any of the six other Nightlords in combat. The specific Nightlord I choose doesn’t hold much significance; what matters is that I bring down another Nightlord alongside Gladius. This double victory will then grant me an opportunity to customize and alter the looks of my characters by unlocking new options. A message will then appear notifying me that a dressing room has been installed within my storage area.
Initially, there are just two items you can acquire using Murk. However, as you progress through the game by achieving in-game tasks and defeating bosses, more options will become available to you. In total, you’ll have access to 16 distinct choices, with two for each character class. It’s rumored that beating the final boss rewards you with a pair of skins reminiscent of Dark Souls, but I’m still quite a ways off from reaching that point (in a polite manner of speaking).
When an additional skin is at your disposal for a character, you can access it through the Costume selection in Elden Ring Nightreign.
Or more casually:
When you’ve got some spare skins for your character, you can grab them from the wardrobe section in Elden Ring Nightreign.
How to equip a skin in Elden Ring Nightreign
You can view your available skins on the Garb Menu by pausing the game and then opening the Pause Menu, which is also known as the Roundtable Hold Menu. In this menu, you’ll find all the skins you currently own, and it also functions as a store for additional skins that you may want to purchase.
Obtaining skins requires a substantial amount of Murk, particularly the Darkness version, and it must be done separately for each character. Therefore, focus on the class you frequently use first.
