How I Met Your Mother star Josh Radnor and wife Jordana Jacobs have welcomed their first child.
The actor, age 51, announced the good news on Instagram Wednesday to his 1.1 million followers.
He shared three photos of his new baby, announcing, ‘My wife and I welcomed a little one a few months ago!’
The new father shared some sweet details about his baby: he has a radiant smile, is very aware of his surroundings, and seems to really enjoy when his dad plays guitar. The little one also finds the word ‘baba ghanoush’ incredibly funny! Both parents, including Jordana, are overjoyed with his arrival.
He expressed his gratitude to listeners of the ‘How We Made Your Mother’ podcast (where he’d previously shared the news), and sent love to all new parents. He described the experience of becoming a parent as both challenging and incredibly rewarding, calling it a beautiful and exhausting journey.
It comes two years after Radnor and Jacobs tied the knot.
Oh my gosh, the first picture Radnor posted… it just melted my heart! He was holding his little boy, and the look on his face was pure, unadulterated joy. He was just beaming down at the baby, and honestly, it was the sweetest thing I’ve ever seen. I can’t stop thinking about it!
Another cute photo showed the baby peacefully sleeping on a small blanket that was placed on his guitar, which was resting on a stool while he tuned it.
The new father then posted a picture of his wife cradling their newborn baby in the hospital bed, just after she gave birth.
Rachel Zegler took to the comments to say, ‘CONGRATS FAMILY!!!’
Actress Angela Kinsey, known for her role in The Office, reacted with a simple red heart emoji. Monica Lewinsky added a congratulatory ‘mazel tov!’ along with a heart emoji. ❤️
Craig Thomas, a writer from How I Met Your Mother, playfully referenced the show while congratulating someone, saying, “As the show says, ‘Love is the best thing we do,’ and these pictures really show that pure love!”
The actor announced their marriage on social media, sharing the joyful news with fans and simply writing, ‘I’m married!’
Two years ago Radnor announced that he had officially tied the knot with Jacobs.
The couple got married in a beautiful, snowy ceremony, and he shared photos from their wedding on Instagram.
He exclaimed, ‘I got married! It was an incredible overwhelming snowy bliss-filled weekend.’
The message went on to say how thankful they were for the loved ones who traveled to Cedar Lake to support them.
Cedar Lake Estate, located in New York’s Hudson Valley, is owned by sisters Stephanie and Lisa Karvellas.
Radnor continued, ‘To @forgedinthenorth for the extraordinary pictures. But most of all to Jordana.
‘I can’t believe my great good fortune that I get to call this extraordinary woman my wife.’
The Hollywood actor and psychologist met in February 2022 during a sound meditation retreat.
He is best known for his role as Ted Mosby in the hit series How I Met Your Mother.
