House of the Dragon season 2 finale leak gets HBO response
As a seasoned gamer and binge-watcher of epic fantasy series, I’ve seen it all – from the unexpected twists in Westeros to the endless realms of Middle Earth. Yet, nothing quite compares to the rollercoaster ride that is House of the Dragon.
HBO has responded after scenes from the House of the Dragon season 2 finale were leaked online.
Approximately 30 minutes of video clips from the final episode of the season were posted online earlier than expected on platforms like TikTok, Twitter, and Reddit. The network responsible for the show, HBO, has acknowledged the leak and explained how it occurred. They’ve also taken steps to prevent further sharing of these videos ahead of the weekend premiere.
As a devoted fan, I can’t help but notice that snippets from the final episode of House of the Dragon have been popping up on various social media sites. It seems these clips were accidentally leaked by an international third-party distributor, as reported by Deadline.
The representative stated that HBO is actively taking down clips found online and encourages fans to catch the full episode this Sunday evening, only on HBO and HBO Max.
Previously, incidents like this have occurred before. For instance, scenes and episodes from the popular series “Game of Thrones” were often leaked prior to their TV broadcasts. Similarly, the season 1 finale of “House of the Dragon” ended up online due to a distribution partner in the EMEA region.
In this week’s episode, which isn’t the last one (remember, there are eight episodes in total), we had an unexpected and unbilled comeback of Paddy Considine as Viserys Targaryen. This appearance was a vision that his brother Daemon (Matt Smith) experienced.
