Sarah Roberts and her boyfriend, Jake Lesu, shared a tender farewell in Canada before Jake left to work overseas for several months.

The 41-year-old actress, known for her role on Home and Away, posted a touching collection of photos on social media Tuesday. The pictures show her enjoying time with her Australian cinematographer partner in the Canadian wilderness before he relocates.

Sarah and Jake revealed they were dating last June. Jake is an experienced cameraman who’s worked on major films like Mad Max: Fury Road and Thor: Love and Thunder.

The actress was seen holding hands with her new boyfriend in Sydney. This is the first time she’s been photographed with a partner since her divorce from James Stewart, her co-star on Home and Away, last year.

They seemed very much in love as they walked around town, ate together, and showed affection openly while looking at shop windows.

The actor and DJ, who also works as a DJ, recently opened up to Stellar magazine about a difficult time in her life. She shared that the end of her marriage had been deeply painful and left her feeling emotionally broken.

She revealed in April 2024 that she is divorced, explaining she had hesitated to share this due to the shame and stigma she felt surrounding divorce.

Sarah and James first connected on the set of Home and Away in 2017 and soon fell in love. They got married in a beautiful wedding in Ireland in 2019.

But behind closed doors, cracks soon started to appear.

Since then, Stewart has started a relationship with his Home and Away colleague Ada Nicodemou, a pairing that surprised many. Meanwhile, Sarah is focusing on building her own life and career.

New Idea reports that Jake works as a Steadicam operator and sometimes as a pilot. He recently displayed his artwork at an exhibition called ‘A Piece of Art’ in Crows Nest.

Sarah recently shared that she’s thankful to have met her new partner, explaining that he’s helped her grow as a person in wonderful and surprising ways.

Even without that experience, I’d be alright. I’ve finally discovered who I am, and while it sounds like a cliché, it’s true.

Sarah became well-known for her role as Willow on the Australian soap opera Home and Away between 2017 and 2021. She recently shared that she remains close friends with her former colleagues and is now setting her sights on a career in Hollywood.

I became close friends with some of my Neighbours co-stars, and it all started a long time ago. Another close friend, Emily Weir, actually starred in Home and Away, as I mentioned to Daily Mail.

I’ve become friends with many of the new actors on Home and Away. Emily knows them, and we all spend time together.
