In the game Where Winds Meet, players can participate in a mini-game called Healing Illness to treat sick characters. You can even help your friends in co-op mode! The healing process is similar to using the Gift of Gab – you’ll need to find someone who’s ill and then use Prescriptions, along with either Physiotherapy or Qi Therapy, to heal them. Here’s a complete guide to the healing career and curing sickness in Where Winds Meet.
How To Heal Illness In WWM – Where Winds Meet

Upon stumbling upon a sick person, use the Wind Sense on them to figure out their illness.

After diagnosing the illness, you’ll need to select a treatment method. You can choose between Physiotherapy and Qi Therapy, and the game will recommend the most effective option. If your Mastery level is high enough, you can use Quick Treatment to automatically succeed, bypassing the treatment mini-game. Otherwise, you’ll need to begin the treatment and carefully use the correct prescription.

When treatment begins, remember the illness will be under control for 10 rounds before it worsens. Each treatment session lasts 20 minutes, and you only have 10 rounds total, so choose your Prescriptions carefully. Your Fireyheart, located in the bottom-left corner, is what powers those Prescriptions. Starting a new healing cycle will fully restore your Fireyheart.
Your Vital Energy is shown above your head, and the bar above the sick area represents Affliction Severity. To successfully treat the patient, you must reduce the Affliction Severity to zero while also keeping their Vital Energy safe. The following advice applies to both Physiotherapy and Qi Therapy, as they work in the same way.

Most illnesses will immediately reduce your energy, so it’s best to start each turn by protecting yourself with a shield – specifically, Inner Stillness/Visualization. If an illness is particularly strong, you can use two shield cards to boost your energy even further. Young Heroes can also use remedies like Essential Remedies/Dietary Therapy which both attack the illness and lower its defenses. Another powerful option is Anesthesia Powder/Fasting Therapy, which deals a lot of damage but uses a small amount of the Doctor’s energy – only use it if you have plenty of energy available.
Here are some things to keep in mind for a successful treatment:
- Use Wind Sense to diagnose the patient.
- Choose the correct method of therapy.
- Prioritize shielding yourself or decreasing illness defense.
- Try to use cards that offer both protection and damage/extra Fireyheart.
- Use cards that sacrifice Vital Energy to deal massive damage wisely.
- Finish healing before the end of the final round.

Players who successfully heal patients like Echo Jade and Memory will earn several rewards. Those who joined the Silver Needles Sect in WWM can also select a reward based on the Sect’s guidelines. Be careful – if treatment fails, some patients might become aggressive, like the sick goose.
How To Level Up Healing Mastery In WWM – Where Winds Meet

Players can improve their skills and the power of Prescriptions by collecting materials and boosting their stats within the Profession system. This system becomes available at level 13 after completing the “Healer’s Calling” quest in the Where Winds Meet region.
Healers Upgrade

You can get Career Notebooks by exploring the game world or purchasing them from the Season Shop. These Notebooks are used to improve your Healer’s stats, which will boost things like Vital Energy and other abilities. Each Notebook has five ranks, and you’ll need to complete five tiers within each rank to fully upgrade it.
Prescription Upgrade

You can also buy a Healer Giftbox or a Custom Career Giftbox in the Season Shop. These boxes contain materials you can use to improve your Prescriptions.

Don’t forget that you might need to unlock certain cards before you can use them during Treatment. Regularly checking the Profession menu will help you become a better healer.
