Harry Potter star announces engagement to comedian boyfriend after 12 year relationship and four kids as she quips: ‘It’s getting serious!’

Harry Potter star Jessie Cave announced her engagement to longterm partner Alfie Brown on Sunday.

The couple, who have four children – Donnie (11), Abraham (5), Becker (3), and Margot (9) – shared a sweet photo together on Instagram.

Jessie, age 38 and famous for her role as Lavender Brown in the popular fantasy films, happily revealed her engagement ring after saying yes to Alfie’s proposal.

She captioned the post:  ’12 years and 4 kids later… it’s getting serious‘.

Fans and friends immediately congratulated Jessie, with actress Ophelia Lovibond excitedly writing, ‘Yay!!! Congratulations Jessie!’

Comedian Fin Taylor offered a simple ‘Congrats!’ with an ‘X’, while Daniel Sloss shared heart emojis and Steve Bugeja wrote ‘Congrats both!!!’

In 2023, comedian Alfie faced backlash and was effectively canceled after a video surfaced showing him using a racial slur during a past performance. This led to him losing his representation and scheduled tour dates. He later released his comedy special, “The Last Cancelled Comedian,” on YouTube last December.

Jessie described the past two years as incredibly difficult, following a public shaming and humiliation of her partner. She remembers watching him struggle and feeling helpless as he dealt with the fallout. You can find more details about her experience here.

This follows Jessie’s story in the Daily Mail about how she started a successful OnlyFans account showcasing her hair, after facing financial difficulties as an actress and writer.

Okay, so Jessie, my absolute idol, revealed this and I’m still reeling! After nearly two decades as an actress and writer – two decades of amazing work, honestly – she felt like she needed a change. Can you believe it? She was looking for something new, and a friend actually suggested… well, an adult site! I mean, it’s so unexpected, but honestly, it just proves how incredibly brave and free-spirited she is. I’m completely here for it and so excited to see what she does next!

Jessie admitted that she mostly spends her time rejecting her flirtatious texts when asked if she ever turns down advances.

Jessie shared that her online work has boosted her confidence and made her feel attractive, something she hasn’t experienced before. She explained that people have generally perceived her as quirky or eccentric in the past.

She explained that she typically does the school run in comfortable, everyday clothes. However, she also creates content on OnlyFans, and changing into those outfits helps her feel confident and like her true self.

Jessie revealed the ‘long story’ of how her account got started.

You know, I spent years chasing a career as an actress and writer, but I eventually realized it just wasn’t sustainable for me. It was during a casual chat with a friend over drinks – we were actually talking about the attention my hair gets – that she had a really interesting suggestion. She thought I should try OnlyFans, and honestly, it sparked something in me. It felt like a way to take control and explore a new path.

She hadn’t explored fetishes before, but her experience with OnlyFans and its users has opened her eyes to that world.

She explained that she personally doesn’t have any unusual preferences, or at least didn’t in the past, but she finds it fascinating to learn about the diverse requests people make of her.

Jessie admitted that even though she receives many requests, she spends most of her time declining them. These requests involve customers paying extra to have Jessie film personalized content featuring their materials.

Okay, so she finally talked about the requests she gets! It’s… intense. Apparently, people are really into seeing her hair when it’s wet. Like, specifically. And get this – split ends! They want close-ups of her split ends! Can you believe it? But the weirdest part? They’re asking for videos of her applying hair treatments! I… I didn’t even know people cared that much about hair care, but clearly, I was wrong. It’s fascinating, honestly.

Jessie said she doesn’t get as many requests related to Harry Potter as she used to when she first started managing the page.

She said: ‘I used to get a lot more, but there are definitely less now’.

Jessie has admitted she’s felt overwhelmed and exhausted trying to maintain her subscriber count on OnlyFans, especially when numbers start to drop.

Jessie recently shared on Substack that she’s become overly focused on how many followers she has, and is even thinking about creating more daring content than she usually does.

Jessie also talked about Lily Allen’s OnlyFans account, which features pictures of her feet. While acknowledging another celebrity was using the platform in a similar, non-explicit way, Jessie clarified that Lily Allen wasn’t the reason she joined.
