The dystopian thriller Curfew, featuring Sarah Parish (known for her roles in Stay Close and Cutting It), will now air on Channel 5 after initially being available on Paramount+ in the UK in 2024.
Kiersey Clemons stars as Detective Pamela Green, a seasoned officer who arrives first at the scene of a shocking murder. She’s teamed up with Eddie, a new recruit played by Mitchell Robertson, to solve the case. Their investigation takes place in a city where all men are under a strict overnight curfew and monitored with ankle tags – a measure supposedly taken to protect women.
This six-episode series is based on Jayne Cowie’s novel, After Dark. The cast also features Mandip Gill (known from Doctor Who), Lucy Benjamin (EastEnders), Anita Dobson (Doctor Who), Bobby Brazier (EastEnders), Larry Lamb (Gavin and Stacey), and Alexandra Burke.

When it debuted on Paramount+, Digital Spy compared Parish’s detective to Gary Oldman’s character, Jackson Lamb, from the series Slow Horses.

Detective Pamela Green is a rule-breaker who often clashes with her bosses and is generally unhappy. Like many detectives in these kinds of stories, Pam is haunted by a personal tragedy that fuels her relentless drive to solve cases.
IMDb users shared a range of opinions about the show, with many describing it as captivating, fantastic, and both entertaining and intellectually stimulating.
One viewer raved about the drama thriller Curfew, saying it was a real page-turner. They watched the whole series in one sitting and admitted to being completely gripped at times.
If you enjoy thrillers, you might like The Crow Girl and Girl Taken, both streaming on Paramount+. We found The Crow Girl, featuring Eve Myles and Katherine Kelly, to be a captivating series that steadily pulls you into its intriguing and shadowy story.
The series Girl Taken was praised as a captivating thriller. It’s based on a novel by Hollie Overton, which The New York Times called “a compulsive read” (according to Amazon).
Curfew streamed on Paramount+ and is coming to Channel 5 on Monday, 16 February.
